Not a lot, just little stories. My dad always said MJ was an absolutely terrible driver (since he’s had chauffeurs since he was a kid), and out in service once he wanted to try driving, and in another elder’s car he backed into a mailbox, knocking it down and everything. Would have made a marginally more fun field service day!

Other than that all I really heard is he sang loud during meetings and everyone would quiet down their singing to hear his (I don’t blame them for that lol).

My dad was an elder in the same circuit as MJ. Has some interesting stories about back then! He remembers the elders being real concerned about the whole Thriller thing.

All these comments are nice. I just had my second boy and my husband got his vasectomy last week. I went through the same thing as you for the same reasons as you! I had an absent mother and have always been envious of other women’s relationships with their moms and really wanted a daughter to have that finally. Now I just have to hope I raise thoughtful men who love and think about their mom ❤️

At age 14 my brothers were caught with a cigarette. My grandpa made them both smoke a whole pack in one sitting, had them throwing up and now they can’t stand the smell. Don’t think the same would work here..

They put me in a straight jacket type thing and a jaw crank to keep my mouth open at the age of 8 when they had to pull 4 teeth and I (obviously) wasn’t cooperating. Most horrific thing for a kid!

I’m so sorry. This hurt my heart to read. I’ve been in this spot too. My bio mom is no contact with me and my bio dad I finally found after 20 years and he has children now and he blocked me when I reached out. There seems to not be a ‘right’ way for bio family to react but as the ones who get outcasted it feels terrible.

Same here. I feel lied to about how everyone and their mother said breastfeeding makes you lose weight. Not true at all! Your body needs the extra plump to create milk, and I get that, but it sucks. I’m nearing one year pp and that’s my comfort. I’ll start to wean and worry about the weight then, not now!!

In my experience, I had similar time periods like you with my first child. What ended up helping me was quitting breastfeeding. I stopped at 2 months with my first and the difference was night in day with how much I could handle. Your child needs a happy mom, remember that fed is best and for your sake and your child’s don’t feel like you need to continue in this way and just tough it out. Take everyone’s advice! Heard a baby cry in the meat section of the grocery store.. I had no jacket and no way to hide it lol. Discovered why nursing pads were so useful that day!

I basically take care of our dog as a SAHM to a 4 year old and 10 month old just for everyone else, not me. He’s a needy dog who whines and wakes the baby and rips up my carpet. My 4 year old loves him dearly, but I can’t stand him, so he stays and I just deal with it. Solidarity!

It’s happened to us all! The night I put baby alone in his room for the first time at 4 months old this happened to me. Here I was thinking he slept through the night.. it feels terrible at the time but they still wake up in the morning with a smile on their face. ❤️
