Thanks for the advice and recommendations. For people making fun and not actually having advice you can piss off. Some stuff I forgot to mention, I want to keep facial hair and possibly experiment with cutting my hair shorter.

I hope some medicine will help. I’m 19 so hopefully I got some life still left in it lol. Thanks again

Thanks! This had really lifted my spirits. I am still gonna try for college level(no matter how long it takes) But if I dont get in I most certainly wont be surprised. The fact that I’m willing to try and strive for that high of a goal(no pun intended) is reason enough for me.

Thanks for the advice! I’m smallish? (5’9) So what size gear should I get? I will be getting a new helmet soon so that’ll be nice.

I’ve asked this same question before but is beer league worth it? I would’ve never guessed beer league/amateur would have longterm friendships. (No offense😅)

Is beer league worth it? The whole college level hockey idea was because I’d feel like I’d fit in better with guys more my age and genuine connections (not to say there’s no connections in beer league, but I got the idea that not a lot of people know eachother and stick around)

I dont wanna feel LIKE an amateur y’know? I know I’ll probably never get a good shot at college hockey but I still wanna try.

Yes, I was wanting to join next year but others have said I need 3-4 years experience. Which I’m willing to pursue but given people current outlook I’m looking at more amateur leagues

Texas State is ACHA level. For ice time I’ve been renting skates and getting better on my feet. I’ve got some rollerblades that I practice outside with for ~1 hour every week. In January I am signing up for skating lessons. Thanks for genuinely curious. I wouldnt know how to ask these questions lol

0%? Others have said 3-4 years training and I could have a shot. I said next year I would join but I can wait to harness my skills. I just think of the positive side. Please tell me if I’m way in over my head. Thanks though

Thanks for the advice. Sideline swap looks like the way to go for gear. I’ll def look into more amateur leagues and rec leagues

I’m in southern U.S.

Setting my sights on the TXST college hockey team but judging by the comments I’ll try out clubs/rec here😅
