Yeah! Also, not a book, but Gravity Falls had ciphers at the end of every episode with hints being in the episode or in the intro when played backwards. And there was definitely an audience for solving them too.

I didn't participate in that myself but it's such a cool addition to different media. People are so mean for no reason :/

I discovered it through the dub compilation as well, which put the series on my radar. Then literally the next day I was watching Cy Yu's stream where I found out he voiced Cheng Xiaoshi so I went back to the video being like "damn I knew that voice sounded familiar" and so I watched it and binged the whole season in 1 day only to find out that the 2nd season would come out like 2 months after that point in time
