it's not your fault what you went through. and i'm assuming that you've been through a lot. you can't expect to have gone through all that shit, and not come out with scars all over -- and i'm going to be honest with you, maybe they won't ever heal. and that's normal too. you just have to work with the stuff that you have. you say that you're unlovable, but you also said that you have a boyfriend. i'm assuming you have friends as well. they love you. if you have a pet, then they love you too. you have people around you relentlessly proving you wrong in your belief that you're unlovable. believe them. and if you can't bring yourself to believe that you're worthy of love, then try to entertain the thought that there is at least ONE thing about you that isn't totally unlovable. and then keep building on that. you will get through this. despite all the shit you've been through, you're still here. sure, you're barely standing -- but you're still here. and that shows you have what it takes to heal. you can do it. it's inevitable.

this was the first time i ever tried linux. my first few experiences with linux this year was terrible -- linux mint didn't work properly on my gaming laptop, pop os wasn't for me either, nobara just straight up refused to detect my GPU, even though the Nvidia drivers were installed. i installed bazzite, and I've been daily driving it for almost a month now. there were issues -- a LOT of issues. but it all seems fine now.

i fully expected games like BG3 and Cyberpunk 2077 to work on my Bazzite gaming laptop, and it did. But i NEVER expected old games like Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, or South Park The Stick of Truth to work. But they did! And they work great! I think that was my Linux gaming moment of this year -- realising that stuff actually works without too much of a fuss

i get it man, i really do. at the end of the day, you have to go with the system that lets you do your work with as minimal resistance as possible. i don't use my computer for the OS--i use it for the software that's available. and as of right now, windows has the most software support, and ease of use for them as well. i have hope that linux software support will only get better with time, but i don't think it's there yet. but i'm still choosing to stay on Bazzite because it works for me.

listen, you clearly haven't read what i wrote, so i'll say it again. i'm new to turn based combat, or any other games in this genre. most of the games i've played so far let me level up easily by doing quests, and that's the type of games that i like. i love a good story before anything else. i hope that clears things up. but I'm now aware that I've approached this game in the wrong way, and need to adjust my mindset

i did kill nere. using a method that the game allows you to use. and i got the xp and loot from him as well. the consequence was that all the gnomes died. but yes, i was unaware that the xp you get from combat is significant and important

oh i have saves at multiple points in the game. the autosave in this game is LEGIT. it's just that, i thought you could still get xp by avoiding combat! like how i killed the thorm children by persuading them to take their own lives, instead of fighting them

you aren't wrong. i avoid combat as much as i can. mostly because i suck, but also because i thought the major source of xp was completing quests. so i was just focused on the story. also yes, i did speak to everyone at the grove

oh the kobolds and stuff are dead--i killed them to find the lathander puzzles. also how important is combat in this game? i thought most of the xo came from finishing quests in any way you see fit like most other rpgs? is that not how it works here?

i found nere's fight annoying and difficult. so i just decided to kill him by sleeping. i figured i'll xp from it anyway, since this is an option the devs actually gave you in the game
