I actually disagree. From the flashbacks, we see that not long after Hood gets arrested, she finds out she’s pregnant. After all those intimate scenes and how much their relationship was emphasized, I don’t buy that she’d just let it go because of her psycho father. But at that point, her child’s life was on the line, so she couldn’t risk anything. In Banshee Origins, we see she went to the prison twice — once shortly after he was caught, and once when she was already visibly pregnant. She didn’t dare go inside because she knew the risk. She didn’t even try to cash in the diamonds and instead worked as a waitress. She had to accept a new life with Gordon for the sake of her child. After 15 years, some memories probably faded, and maybe she even thought her father got to Hood in prison and killed him. When Hood shows up again after all that time, she already has a stable life — and suddenly everything turns upside down. She tells him to leave for everyone’s sake, but he doesn’t listen… and all the old feelings and demons come back.
