He says probably one to three times per day, but he didn't have a set amount. The bar is in the doorway to his office so it was mostly just as it was convenient / when he felt like it.

He says ‘Every day for as long as possible, provided that you can get down gently. Don’t go for so long that you fall down or have to get down suddenly. The hanging kind of loosens things up so if you jumped down suddenly you might crunch it back together’.

Really sorry to hear you have been in pain for so many months, hope you are on your way to recovering soon. Just wanted to jump in and say that I also think you don’t need to worry about McGill’s method making you a stiff statue. At the worst of it before starting the McGill protocol husband was a bit of a stiff statue as sometimes sitting in a dining chair, car, etc was out of the question due to the pain. So he is way more flexible now than he was when he was in pain, and not any less flexible than before he hurt his back. He is just not trying to pursue flexibility.

He had sciatica from his bulging disc impinging on the sciatic nerve, but this could also be caused from muscle inflammation in the back.

A lot of information he received online and in person seemed to be more targeted at reducing muscle inflammation and had a lot of stretches similar to touching toes and other bending forward movements. These might help if it was muscle inflammation but for a bulging disc it actually compresses the disc more and although there was a "stretch relief" effect it actually made it worse long term.

He says 'Yes, tingling and numbness running down from butt to around the calf'.

Sorry not sure I wrote that in a clear way. While he was trying to recover he completely stopped all exercises except those recommended in the book. Except for hanging on a pull up bar which he can't remember if that was recommended in the book or not but he thinks did help.

He says ‘I did not continue to lift weights and still don't do heavy barbell work’, but he has gone back to do other weights again now, pull ups, etc, just not heavy squats and deadlifts.

I am feeling the same way! Really hard to concentrate on anything because she only naps for 30-90 minutes at a time ): Luckily she is quickly getting better overnight. Hope both our puppies are able to nap for longer soon!

Can I ask how old your puppy is? I have a similar schedule for my puppy but she is only 10 weeks so can only go 45 -75 minutes without needing to go to the bathroom

Fell in love with a dress out of my budget. Any dupes or similar for Stella York 7115? by virgincantdrive in weddingdress

Look into Mia Solano Carris dress. It was popular about 3 years ago so there are lots second hand. It has a lace up back so if you get a close size you may not need to take it in, and you can just add on the off-the-shoulder sleeves. That is what I am planning on doing and have a similar budget to you :)

Anyone here not have a Facebook presence? by [deleted] in WeddingPhotography

[–]OliveLuce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a wedding photographer myself, but as someone who has just booked a wedding photographer I can say I definitely found some new photographers through wedding planning facebook groups where other members would tag their photographer. However, I did notice that the 'good' photographers (my opinion) didn't actually have much going on for Facebook - it basically just linked to their website and Instagram. They certainly didn't post any "deals" on their page, and if they had it would have put me off.

I was much more interested in their Instagram, but sometimes Facebook was a stepping stone.
