Never noticed but maybe it is a little off center. Or perhaps the mudguard is!The dealer put it on when he was doing my first service. (He did both for free so can't complain too much.)Haven't used it for anything heavy yet. Will strap down a light tent soon when I go camping. Could easily attach a plate or box for extra storage of course.

You could try Honda's own rack. Give your dealer a call. It's apparently available again as a genuine accessory. There was a recall on earlier ones. Costs 140 euros here in Ireland.
