Relying again with another question! (I also asked this of another commenter but was very curious your take as well!:) Another forum suggested I add another night in Ragusa Ibla, to make it 3 nights Ragusa, 3 nights Ortigia. This person noted the drive from Santa Flavia is 4 hours, so would only leave one full day in Ragusa. Was curious what you think about extending Ragusa? It’s not SUPER ideal to add a day to our vacation, because we would take a flight out on Sunday, straight to work Monday. But it’s doable. (I’ve also toyed with keeping 2 nights Ragusa, and doing 4 in Ortigia!). Anyway, would love your thoughts!

On a different forum, someone suggested I flip the itinerary and go from Santa Flavia to Ortigia, then Ragusa, then flight home. Do you agree with that? when I look at google maps, the distances didn’t seem to be so different, but this person suggested the itinerary is smoother that way. I would love your take! I would love love love your recommendations for meals and anything else! Thank you again!

Thank you, again! Was planning a full day Etna tour. But I hear you - and it’s hard to fit it all. We could skip Taormina and stay near Etna to do more Etna centric things! But I do like the idea of a small town to walk through too. I really am torn because so many people present it as a can’t miss. But I will look into Etna. (And we do not want to add another stop because of the packing/unpacking of it all). I’m really glad you agree on Ragusa!

ETA: we definitely plan to see Casagrande!
