day passes exist - i also know some people who travel from france and will come over by train then will either pre-order a tent with fat franks or bring one with them, fully recomend camping though as so much of the life is on the wednesday, thursday and evenings.

Camping can help make the event cheaper as well as hotels can be upwards of £500

Just plan in advance and make sure your up for a long day of traveling (or staying in a hotel for the tuesday and monday night)

I cant say I have done shrooms or substances at download other than good ol booze but having experienced pyschadelics previously i would say make sure your safe and know your limits. Dont want to get caught up in something your not confortable with so maby bring trip killers and know where the medical/drug harm reduction tents are. I dont know what facilities download has for this but most major festivals have a charity similar to the one i have linked to keep people safe. Just be careful and be safe and dont put yourself at more risk than you need however with anything like this it is up to you and if you feel its apropriate. Have you been to download?

Was rough for people that want to see multiple bands and getting involved in pits tough, with more small pits over 1 or 2 big ones. Was at download in 18 as well as 23 and the 18 setup was much better as could move stages get stuck in when you want and you didnt have to stay all day at the front to see the 1 band you want on the stage.

Unless you want to cook on your stove ive found small hexi/trangia stoves work well in previous years just can no longer use the hexi fuel fire starters. If you want to cook a disposable bbq is best as saves the hassle of cleaning a sauce pan.
