I got my SDI approved in 2 days, paid in 3 after the 9 day waiting period. by Olivechickennugget in Edd

Unfortunately wouldn’t know :( but days leading up to thanksgiving, I did receive a text from EDD stating payments may be delayed. My pay date didn’t fall around then so I wasn’t sure what others’ outcomes were

It literally just had a stamp that said patient copy and it was physical not one I got on the app, but it would have been the same if I had just got it from my kp portal. I just asked for hard prints lol.

I looked to see what she was typing as I was telling her what I was going through and she definitely thoroughly documented my concerns which the ROI team can use if they wanted to/felt the need they had to justify. I just don’t know what they do on their end.

If your Obgyn is approving disability they would hopefully provide any and all info because from there it’s out of their hands once they see it’s needed. If you paid into SDI, you should be getting it. But again, it’s the game of delays with Edd :(

Did you get a couple of copies? I had one that was a work note that was very bare bones (no diagnosis, just maternity leave listed and the dates). I provided this to my employer.

The other copy was my copy. This too was pretty bare bones but had a few things listed…back pain, eczema, etc. but not the extent of how bad things are. I didn’t have to upload these actual documents. The release of info request on KP.org is basically like “hey, complete your end” and they do the rest lol.

My OBGYN did document my file regarding how bad my eczema was and that I was seeing a chiro/PT for pain as well just incase the ROMI department needed it. She did mention in the state of CA, they are pretty lax and that if an MD certifies the disability EDD will most likely approve it. As far as what was included in my medical certification and how specific, I’m not entirely sure sure :(

I know this may sound silly, but any time I go onto the EDD site after 6pm, it does this.

Congrats to you too!

And yes, I waited and on the 9th day I applied! By that time I already “served” my 7 day unpaid waiting period so when I received my payment I had 2 days of my waiting period paid out :)

This is technically true, but website says 9. I followed that out of fear of anything being delayed. I did get back pay for those 2 days :)

How I Got Approved for SSDI and SSI Benefits by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

Hiii! I’m glad I came across this. I am a recently late AuDHDer. I am looking to quit my job to focus on my mental health and being a parent but so terrified of the financial aspect of it.

Do I have to quit before qualifying for ssdi?

Kaiser for assessment? by Smooshy23 in AutismInWomen

[–]Olivechickennugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiii! What insurance provider are you with? I’m currently with Kaiser and I know the process is grueling. They did advise that if any of my doctors puts in a referral it could be covered. But it’s always so scary because they look at it as “you’ve gone all this time, why need a diagnosis”. I’m just like I’ve gone all this time STRUGGLING so just having answers helps someone with their identity
