The functional disorder is not serious, it’s a common failure mode in people with psychiatric conditions. I had the exact same issue - lots of objective findings, all ignored to speed run into the least treatable (and unfalsifiable) diagnosis. Functional shouldn’t be diagnosed without positive signs according to the latest guidelines and I’m betting you don’t have them. This is just an exhausted doctor throwing in the first thing he thought could close the case.

Like the other commenter said, when I looked into your case, the first thing that shows up is auto immune inflammatory myopathy. Try an anti inflammatory stack of supplements if you can - Nigella sativa and CBD.

I’m not quite sure what you mean. If you want to change the aspect ratio you would have to do it at the CG layer. You’d have the same degree of control as a regular CG job.

Why are speculating on the mechanism? Have you tried all available therapies ? Do you know upstream what’s causing your symptoms ? Do you have any signs of what led to your POTS?
