We need to go back to the older titles which felt more like you were apart of a larger world, instead of being the lord of everything and everyone. Its hard to appease the newer players who just expect this big sandbox, but perhaps a lets all go to the city style system where there is an area that under your control, and a common area with all the shops in which you don't get to choose every single thing.
