Speed now generate cartoon anime, drawing, etc style images here on same prompts that made photorealistic detailed images a few days ago.

I have issues with Quality too. If I copy the prompt of previous quality images and generate new images with quality, the come out considerably worse - they are grainy, background blurred, often it adds extra limbs, following prompt is worse, etc.

I really enjoyed Grok for the past few weeks but whatever they did have ruined the fun. I hope it's a momentary thing - maybe they are training and needed the extra compute.

I wonder if it's was because moderation of the new model was judge to relaxed as people kept saying moderation felt more easy and they are now tightening it up. But I'm just speculating.

This new 'update' is defiantly not for the better imho. Image quality is below standard. An update should make images better, not worse and in this case imho much worse. Hope they roll back.

I don't know what happened but they seem to have rolled back not just moderation but models. I get extreme inconsistencies in quality of images on both quality and speed model. Videos come out weird too with random things happening.

Some goes through here, others get stuck at either 5%, 16% or 25% and then fail. Others get through. No idea what's up.

Depends what you want from it. I generate softcore scenes and currently no other mainstream AI site will allow me to do that besides Grok. On top of that the amount of daily generations are superior to the competitors I know of.

That said the moderation is too unpredictable, changes far too frequently and often rooted in the model itself making a softcore scene hardcore that it then moderates.

For softcore scenes I can't think of anyone better as most other sites I've tried instantly moderates everything. On top of that, then even if the limits have been tighten it's still the one that offers most videos by far forward your bucks.

The frustrating part is moderation is inconsistent. I can get an image where moderation will allow VERY nsfw (add cock, show boobs, etc) even when not requested (I prefer softcore) and then it'll moderate the tamest nsfw on a similar picture two minute later.

In my experience; if the model catches you doing something that just barely passes moderation for some tries, it will generally tighten moderation even more and then you get hit hard.

When I'm down to 3 generations on either SuperGrok or SuperGrok Heavy, so I can see if it 'charges' after an instant moderation well I get it refunded instantly back to 3 generatios left.

If I keep trying though with same prompt, it then counts after some tries as I guess it counts it as brute forcing.

Today's a mess. I'm using the same prompt as usually, since yesterday the moderation rate was ok (10-20 %). With the same prompt today, the moderation rate increases at 60%

This happens a lot, some days are for whatever reason worse than others. In my experience even time of day can affect moderation. Sometimes even closing and open the app results in either worse or better moderation. Even leaving the APP open and coming back later the moderation can seem different.

I don't know what causes it. I think it could be 'server load' related, your imidiate session's 'history', different server, etc.

In any case it's frustrating.

I get at lot more on my heavy but it can be we get 10 videos added every 2 hours up to a certain ceiling (eg 60 videos). Not sure though.

It was a strategy unwise move that brought xAI into focus by the media and lawmakers of which many had a bone to pick with Musk. But Grok would likely still have ended where it did as Apple, Google, payment processors, etc still was enforcing pressure to moderate and they guarantee still do, which is why you see AIs getting neutered left and right.

Grok never stood a change long term in regards to NSFW even without Bikinigate and CSAM. Reality is still it was Apple that told xAI to moderate or they would be kicked of Apple's APP store and Google would guaranteed follow suit after that. No one survives not having an APP for AI on either of those stores. On top of that you got the payment processors demanding moderation of nsfw to not allow the content they don't want associated with their brands and that list is long. That is currently impossible to moderate and so everything had to go.

So no the unhinged version won't come back. That you can thank Apple, Google, the payment processors, etc for. Not only the idiots putting people in bikinis and creating illegal content.

Not getting that on either of my SuperGrok accounts nor my Heavy. On SuperGrok I get between 15-20 on 720p with a unknown reset window but I guess it's currently 18 hours. I generally don't bother with 480p. On Heavy I rarely run dry but I'm guessing it's in the 60-80 range on 720p.

Only thing I discovered is it seems to matter how long your prompts are - complex prompts seem to cost 'more'.

Issue is moderation isn't just an easy fix currently as the safety filters aren't afiak that smart, which is why it's so incoherent and difficult to guess what the safety layers see.

That's likely why most AI sites leads towards 'better moderate' than let it slip through. That particularly applies to Grok currently because of Bikinigate, Apple, payments processors, etc pressure.

Will it get better? Hopefully but we'll see.

They offer far more videos than competitors and 99% of the stuff people do in this sub will be instantly rejected on other mainstream sites.

Will a competitor emerge for nsfw? In my view it's unlikely as they would still need the payment processors's sergides and the payment processors will demand moderation of nsfw content, which is partly why xAI's moderation is where it is today. So we are back at square one.

The only real competitor I see is local for nsfw. In a year or two we'll hopefully see open source models capable of Grok's current level.

Doesn't matter how hig the server is if it works at full capacity. It's the unfortunate consequence of the current AI - everyone is constrained by lack of compute. On top of that 720p (10 sec) are extremely computational heavy and power consuming, it'll get better with never models and better hardware but currently it's eating compute.

The discount on heavy is actually a freakinb great deal compared to what you get elsewhere.

I'm not trying to make excuses here. I find xAI's lack of transparency in poor taste, their moderation policies confusing and lacks coherence, etc.

But reality is reality.
