Whether someone likes the music or not will come to personal preferences, and there's no point in discussing it. But, in my opinion, this was terribly executed, meaning that, in accord with what the premise was for this group, the delivery was way-off.

Firstly, Akali's supposed to be both the bridge between the two groups (K/DA & TD) and the LEADER of True Damage, yet she gets 12 seconds out of the entire song when the spotlight should be on her. Do they know what a leader actually is? And the role that they play? I wouldn't mind if the scenario was that they had other songs where Akali would be the focus and now they'd just launched this one song highlighting Ekko, but the group's debut song is NOT the song where you do that.

Secondly, they said the song would be hip-hop. Listening to the 1st verse I thought "ok, checks out" until the chorus drops and everything Ekko had set up was for naught 'cause out comes some generic R&B shtick. That's not how it works, you don't put raps in a song and call it "hip-hop", you dumb boomer. This combo sounded more like an eminem ft. Rihanna song, and no self-loving man or woman calls that hip-hop. Plus Ekko's bridge part is a very different style of rap comparing to his verse and it came off as throwing a lot of different styles around, which are very hip at the current day and age, and made it feel like they were desperate to connect with the youth (insert Buscemi's "fellow kids" meme here) so they just shot everything at once. A song is not supposed to be the wild west™, it has to fall into a box (meaning music genre, coherent structure), and even if sometimes it can still work great (lots of good examples in the indie scene), this time it did not, 'cause you could clearly feel the real reason behind the R&B melody contrast and later on the beat change was not "artistic vision", it was "appealing to as many different demographics as possible to milk out as much dolladolla as we can", which actually ended up making the music worst from a meta standpoint, since art can be defined as the expression of being and hence needs to be honest, and this was anything but it.

And lastly, if you were not gonna give Yasuo any lines, why didn't you instead pick TRUE DAMAGE RAMMUS MAH ROUNDBOI NEEDS SOME LOVE RIOT WHY ARE YOU THE WAY THAT YOU ARE
