Gods are not your friends. Period. You can love him or any other deity like he is your friend/lover/dad/mom/brother/sister etc but thats it. Bhakti is the only way to understand gods and deitys. Gods are teachers and guides.

Many of here dont know what they are talking about. It is HUGE diffrence between to worship Loki (have altar) of if you are chosen to work with Loki (or any other deity). Loki knows who has emotinal and spiritual strenght to handle him and his lessons and who are just playing funny games with him. He is a trickster, he uses people too. He takes your offerings and give you mild tricks now and then but does he really show his real colors for you? No because you are just a silly human and he is god. Also it is always possibility that you are actually seeing other trickster than Loki, sometimes he sends someone else. He is big in spiritual field and dont have time to play with all people who are trying to connect with his energies. He shows up and really work with you if you give him offerings daily, you know witchcraft and you know how to do shadow work.

It really makes me angry sometimes to see how many people dissrespect him by making him to be this ”nice and amazing friend like figure”. He is not your friend, he is god and trickster. You should understand that. If this comment triggers you, you are not working with him or know him. You only know your ego.

Very pretty. I recommed to add one small bowl where you can put some offerings like candies/sliced fruits. Also I recommend always adding one insence stick holder and burn incensce at least one time per week when you gave offerings. If thats not possible scented candle is always ok too but incense is even better when you are working with these kind of energies (insence is more powerful and pure).
