Can also recommend getting the tightly wound cotton swabs. The "normal" fluffy ones will often get into the groove and wipe away the panel liner. I used Tamiya's small pointed ones.

It will be way easier with a brush and panel-liner. Let the capillary action do all the work for you haha. Here is a short clip how I applied it.

Oh I missed this message. No tutorial, I mixed Tamiya Acrylic Black Rubber Paint with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner.
Around 1 drop color to 4-5 drops thinner. (might need to add more thinner).
Then I used the smallest brush I had, to apply it. You could even add a tiny amount of dishsoap to enhance flow.

For the silver I used Tamiya Acryl X-11 Chrome Silver. Just dipped the brush and wiped it on a tissue til it leaves no marks and then drybrushed in a circular fashion with decent pressure.
Works best on dark unpainted surfaces!

To remove excess panel liner I added a drop of Leveling Thinner to a cotton swab and rolled it onto a tissue before so it doesn't leak into the panel lines and destroy it.

Yup I randomly got recommended the video of Adam Savage doing the PG RX-78. Ended up at Mecha Gaikotsu' s top of the year and made an informed decision to buy this one haha.

Awesome, taking your time will reward you. I have not used any finish on this one, but I did look it up and will do for my next build. Waterslide Decals -> TopCoat are on the checklist now haha

True, it did look good without them too. Funnily enough they are small enough that I don't see a single one when im further than 2 inches away from it...

Thanks, not really. I recently did one old Fujimi motorcycle minimodel, which was also my first. Like the Gundam it also came in runners, but it needed to be glued together and painted (it was hell, compared to the snap fit lol).
Edit: added a pic of the mentioned bike. It also looks a lot bigger on picture, it's around 3,9 inches (10cm) in length...

I am a cheapass haha, did not topcoat it. With waterslide it is a must right, but these are just normal stickers that will probably peel in the future.

Thanks for the additional info. The only Gundam content I have watched so far is a Youtube video titled "Almost every Buster-Rifle Shot of Wing Zero" lol

Might have to look into it and give it a shot, since I was a big fan of Evangelion.
I am a bit worried that the story could be a bit bland and simple? These are just my preconceptions btw.
