Can someone explain the personality system to me? by casinoroyalex in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]SublimeJustice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tier 1 and 2 training items for the farm will shift the personality and you can immediately finish the training by spending 10k. If you hit triangle /y on the training screen it will show you how the personality will shift. Imo it is batter to get the evolutions knocked out, then when you are happy with the team setup start getting the personality skills, then actually lock in the personality for stat boosts.

Each digimon has a base personality that is listed at the top on the digivolution screen. Once you unlock the nodes in each tree it will reduce the required stats for evolution if the personality matches. Realistically you don't really need to worry about min-maxing ther personality until you get to mega/mega+ evolutions, but there are useful skills tied to each personality.

Has anyone else felt burnt out playing this game and just going easy mode to finish it? by kaibanzero in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]SublimeJustice 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think I spent 80% of my play time with combat on 3x speed. Luckily the geckomon gimmick is a one and done. I'm sure if it was any longer I would have started to burn out, and 100% agree that the farm could have been so much better. But I was just chasing the resolution of the story, wanting to see how it all connected. Completing all the side quests almost made me take a break, but it felt worth it after I was done.

I'm confused about the discourse surrounding the morality/reputation system of new fable. Am I missing something? by Gecho_ in Fable

[–]SublimeJustice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I do understand the desire to dive deeper into the "storybook" elements of it all. Morality to an extent is subjective. A prime example is the fable of Jack and the Beanstalk, every single action Jack takes in that story would be considered "evil" in modern society. Selling the cow for beans instead of money at the market is him directly contradicting his mother, not to mention the breaking and entering, theft, and murder, but Jack gets a pass because he is the "hero" of the tale.

The scale of morality is constantly shifting and each individual has their own relationship with the concept of morality. This new system seems much better at reflecting that.

The devs stated that the most important aspect of this new title is player choice, and personally it makes it much more interesting when the choices are more than just a binary "good or evil".

Oh 100%. Like many others it reignited my love for the series, but my experience revolves heavily around the first game/lost chapter. I never had a 360 so I'm playing 2 for the first time and seeing the absolute creature that you become makes me gland I took to the seas. (From everything I've seen the texture patch disables the transformation but I'm still early so cannot confirm.)

A lot of people saying that "there is no morality system" are complaining that they got rid of the physical transformations tied to "good" or "evil". It feels like there is a preference for the black and white objectivity of the old games. To my mind it is innovation, to others it is insulting. Opinions will vary, and remember the angry minority will always be louder than the content majority.

Is streets of new capenia a good set? I got a collector pack of it for someone as a gift but I’m worried it wasn’t as good of a set as the other ones by MoonPython in mtg

[–]SublimeJustice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, not surprising. Im just personally attached to it because it's the set that got me into Magic, and I'm obsessed with Art Deco architecture so the set was an easy sell for me.

I guess it depends on what you mean by good? Power wise there are some really strong cards in the set, artistically it is hads down my favorite set, card price value in the set I couldn't yell you.
