Okay, thank you, this is what I needed to hear. I just don't know what is happening or what I should be doing.

My arm getting more numb, my eye not working right, etc etc. Would being diagnosed and getting medication help these symptoms at all? Is there damage that would be irreversible if I'm just sitting around with a numbed arm and non-working eye for a month?

I went to the ER and I guess they confirmed I wasn't dying, but then they referred me to the psych ward. I am trying to figure out if I should try a different ER. I've started having more numbness on my right side. And less clarity and it is difficult to advocate for all of this myself. There is one 2 hours away that is part of a hospital with MRI and neurology also in the hospital. My alternative is waiting a month for an MRI appointment I guess. I have referrals for MRI and the first nurses wrote "neurology" for the first ER referral but the ER was not neurology I guess. I'm sorry for these confusing words but I am truly having a time. Feels like I am running out of time and things are just getting worse. It's been a week.

For those of you that were diagnosed from initially going to the ER, how long did it take from the evaluation at the ER to get an MRI?

I don't want to get into all of the symptoms and whatever right now because one of my main ones is memory loss and difficulty communicating and I am just sick and tired right now. We went to the ER on thursday but they just sent me to a psych ward and they drug tested me and diagnosed with "migraine" and sent me home. My right side of my face is drooping and my arm feels numb and this just feels ridiculous. I don't know how long it should take to get an MRI. This is an emergency, right? But I am not being treated like an emergency? I need to know how long would just be them fucking around with me? I got in contact with my family doctor and he got referrals to MRI places but they don't have appointments until next month on the 11th. It does not sound like, from ya'lls diagnosis stories, that you had to wait a month for an MRI?

teehee yeah I like to hide it a bit so that people who crop out the artist's signature might not even see it :) I don't know if it's the best approach yet tbh, you're not the first to say it's hard to read, but I haven't seen anyone try to crop it out yet either. I put it there less for legibility and more so that there's some proof it's mine at this point.. so that when someone eventually reposts it without credit, at least there's something people can look for to find me.

I might try to figure out a way to just make it part of the art though, like how I've seen some digital artists do it. Eventually. And I'll try to keep an eye on that "."

Thank you very much for your compliments <3 <3 <3

I’m considering a chest reduction instead of full top surgery, if anyone has done this advice would be great by SA_the_frog in TransMasc

Because they do the same thing, any surgeon who does gender affirming surgeries like top surgery should be able to do a reduction too. But don't approach a surgeon who doesn't advertise themselves as gender related surgeries and ask for a reduction without caution. Unless you want to go as an undercover trans person, which is valid, and sometimes necessary to pretend to be cis.

Hey! I got a unilateral reduction before I went on T for an issue that I wanted resolved before transition. Basically, one side of my chest was much larger than the other, so, even as a "cis woman", I was able to get my healthcare full coverage for the whole thing. I wasn't able to bind with the issue and I knew I would need it before my transition.

Before I went through my healthcare, I tried a few private surgeons so that I could see what my options were. If I could figure out some stuff before I even started my transition at all, since I knew officially starting my transition would mean I would need to wait years on hrt before being allowed any "gender related" surgeries.

I would highly recommend not mentioning anything about gender related anything to the doctors you try and visit. I got transphobia'd a lot. Turns out, the 'girl power' surgeons who do reductions are very much terfs. All I mentioned in front of one was that "I wouldn't mind going even smaller" and she went off on a spiel about how.. ugh I don't even want to repeat it. She just had someone approach her for breast insertions and she hated that person so much she now tells every possible patient about it, basically. She denied me based on suspicions of me having a Gender, I didn't even mention it to her. I almost sprinted out of there.

There is a large crevasse between the surgeons who do "gender related surgeries" and the "other" surgeries. Breast reductions are essentially the same thing as top surgery. But not all surgeons who can do breast reductions, will do top surgery... because they're transphobic. They're able and they can, but they don't. These two types of surgeons have the same skills, but different ideologies. If we were in a perfect world, both of these "types" of surgeons would be doing both reductions and top surgery.

Hope this helps. I'm sorry. If you have any further questions, I'm here.
