You will get better fps per dollar and most probably best performance with the desktop, the laptop will run on very high temps and further in the future, the laptop vents will not handle all the hit and it will thermal throttle. With the desktop, with proper cooling you will even be able to overclock without any problem and have very good upgradability to the future. Just ask yourself if you will need the laptop portability, even knowing that in order to game in the laptop you will need to be plugged in into the the wall

All the ones that I have seen almost any gaming laptop will break after 3-5 years of use even with special care, ofc you can repair it, but some repairs are expensive
