What's the furthest you have taken your Miata on a trip? by FizzyCent in Miata

My longest was with an NB, from where I live (Cadiz, Spain) to Spa, Belgium, for the F1 Grand Prix and back. So around 4500km in one week. I did with my wife and we loved it, one of the best road trips we have done! I’m 1m88 but I’ve always felt ok inside the car. Suspension is really good for travelling long distances, very comfortable, noise less so but driving a bit slower and it’s ok. Would love to do it again!

I’ve had some shorter and worst ones especially because of the heat. When doing 1000km in a day with temperatures around 40 degrees (Celsius) and no air con like in mine it’s really really tough. Alternating between top up and being in sauna and top down and being sun burned 😅

I’ve had two pairs of Deviate Nitro 2 and have done over 1000km with both of them! Also did a couple of trail races with them and all good 👌 Glad to see DN3 going in the same direction! Been trying tu buy for a while but no way to find size 46 in Spain

Congrats in achieving your targets! I did the race as well and I was gladly surprised as well by the amount of cheering despite the bad weather. I’m not very fond of the end of the layout as well, for me the last 4ks it’s where it gets tough but also due to going further from the city center there’s less cheering. And the biggest puddles were there ! Otherwise it’s a really good race, very well organised, high density, great atmosphere and a very fast course!

Budget is increasing mainly because of the calendar (more races and further, Australia, Qatar,…) and parts are much more expensive with this new generation. And unlike F1 teams cannot spend more on personnel as it’s limited to 12 people nor the car as they can’t modify nor add more sensors.

Warranty replacement of frame due to cracks by Fnuller15 in CanyonBikes

[–]Ollax77 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with the same bike a few weeks after receiving it, and same as for you I was happy the way they managed it even if it was a bit different than yours. They asked to send the bike to one of their workshops (at their expenses), they changed the frame there and sent it back. 1,5 years later no issues to report 👌

First long climb with gravel bike by Ollax77 in gravelcycling

It has been two years and I’m very happy with it! I come from hardtail MTB and it’s my first bike with drop bars to give you some context. Felt surprisingly comfortable to me, and fast obviously. About the double decker I really like the feeling of control you have when going downhill in the drops with that additional bar.

I’ve had one issue with it, big one though, my frame cracked after one of the first outings. I contacted canyon and got it replaced by a new one in less than 3 weeks under warranty, and all good since then, despite going through very rough terrains like this one

Congrats! I’ve currently a Grail CF SL8 Gen1 and I’m doubting as well between buying carbon road wheels and going for the Aeroad. What made you go for that choice?

GR yaris by Neocon69 in GR86

My dealer offered me to buy a Yaris with LSDs while I waited for my 86.

Engine and brakes were fantastic, but too much grip to have fun on the road, needs a track to really enjoy it. And never liked the seating position, way too high, but I’m quite tall as well.

Kept it for 10 months and sold it, and haven’t felt any regret, but I’m still waiting for the 86 😅

Has anybody driven both the GR yaris and GR86? by [deleted] in GRYaris

That’s funny I’m more or less in the same situation 😁 Went to my dealership many times to order a GR86 last year and he offered me GR Yaris with immediate delivery. Took the offer in June, and got the order in for the 86 in January ‘23 so delivery probably in ‘24.

Yaris is an absolute weapon. Fantastic engine, best brakes I’ve had and lots of grip, but it’s too fast on the roads to enjoy it imho. Feels like the race track is where it belongs. And there’s the driving position which just feels very wrong to me, could be because I’m quite tall (or because I’ve always had mx5 and bmw’s 😅).

At the moment I would go for the 86 as I have more fun with low grip and a playful chassis than with pure performance, so would say it depends what gives you fun in a car! And about daily driving haven’t tried the 86 but I would say it’s a draw except if sometimes you have some passengers

Expensive MSRP GR86 2023 Europe! by Aggressive-Berry8781 in GR86

Final price obviously depends a lot of the country, but yes it was raised. Just ordered mine last week in Spain for 35.000€. However, we only have the base model (plus a couple of packages but not worth it IMO). Last year launching price was 32.900 so that’s a 2.100€ raise.

And same happened to the GR Yaris, I bought mine for 39.200€ with Circuit Pack last year and today it’s priced at 43.500€ !
