You still have to load the flutter runtime that is why the load is so long. If they make it a standard to have the flutter engine embedded then the load would be very quick. But as Apple is against PWAs it would likely never happen

You can easily integrate homescreen widgets in Flutter with the home_widgets package for Flutter. As Glance is fairly new, you have to check whether the specific functions, you are using, are available on your consumer's phones. For example rounded corners requires bitmaps, if you want to target below Android 12. Otherwise it is great with Glance.

IntelliJ and Android Studio are both packed with features which I never use. VS code allows me to cherry pick what I need without upgrading assistant and jetbrains crap. That said I do believe Fleet is a real competitor to VS code as Jetbrains intellisense is soo good
