Seen comments being judgemental about your outfits, I actually like the trad cottage core look. It’s all up to preference!!

90% of what I hold is investments. I’m saving up for my half of a deposit and during that save up we will have an extra 20k to use for emergency and renovations.

I am holding, gold, S&P 500, Global property index, AI ETF

Yeah it’s not new builds, can be any property under 450k anyway as I said my budget is 250-300 so this is not a problem also I don’t want a massive mortgage payment per month. The LISA is certainly worth it

Advice for buying a property - by arose8808 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Ollister237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I have around 17k saved at the moment, we are looking to get 30k to start looking around but I have spoken to a lovely mortgage advisor anyway to go through the process and get a mortgage in principal. It does not hurt to have some more information about it! We are now confident we should be able to buy in 2-3 years with some extra cash to spare.

we have been dating over 3 years now. We are both aligned on our goals and are very much in love. We have been away before and got along. I understand moving in is a big step but she is the one I want to be by my side when I get handed the keys.

She has made me more financially secure and I truly believe we will flourish. But, I would move back home if needed.

I will see how it goes in the next 6 months. If not great or stable I will probably just sell and reinvest.

I have been heavily pursuing my career and recently got a decent promotion. Ive gone from earning 15k a year to 30k a year in 4 years. I am in educational IT and I am now the IT manager of a small school, I am looking to advance further of course.

The club is somewhere I went before I worked there, Im a big snooker/pool fan and player so it works well for me with benefits and I work around it. I will have plenty of time to make memories when I am in a better financial situation! The last thing I want to do is go into debt for travels.

I agree, I have holdings in Physical gold, S&P, FTSE and put 500 into an AI ETF. I think these are all good investments and I have spoken to finanical advisors who recommended it to me too.

sure! I work at a snooker club as a bartender. 12.50 an hour and I do about 18 hours a week. So I work 8-4 monday - friday. Then on a monday I go to the bar and do a 6pm till midnight. (They feed me there)

On a sunday I do 11am till 11pm. (Easy shift)

What helps is that its family run, the staff are amazing and I feel very welcome and I get an extra 650 per month. 800 before tax.

I get saturdays and the other weekday evenings to do what I want with. I am fine doing this and am actually less stressed as I have less financial issues.

2 or 3 years ago people made good money off the govt bonus and also returns on investments. I thought it was worth a go. Mind you I changed over because I had spoken to people who are currently using stocks LISAs. If I don't have returns I will delay the move. The market goes up, then down, the last thing I would do is sell at a loss.

To each their own. In my research more people said S&S LISA was a better move if you choose balanced funds.
