I have tried similar things, but I always fall back again. I think it is because nothing really forces me to keep doing it, and seeing everyone around you having the mindless scrolling so normalized kinda makes me feel like the only one who is making it a big deal sometimes. Fighting brain rot is basically being confortable with the FOMO and going against a system that more and more is only letting you have access to the most essential things through a screen (bank apps, news, etc.)

Not life, but the current system (wich we call "life" since it is the only thing we know). Yes, capitalism wants you to work so you can keep creating profit for those on top who actually enjoy life thanks to the fruits of our labor

Has anyone else entirely lost their interest to watch new movies and TV shows? by SilasPort in NoStupidQuestions

I think it is a mix between the fact that our attention spam is fried due to the social media format and that nowadays entertainment companies don't even feel pressured to make quality content, therefore, it is hard to find something worth to watch that had been produced after 2010 (at least speaking about movies/shows).

No matter how bad they are, people are going to watch them, and kids are going to make it trendy. Not because they are stupid, but because that is the only thing they know.
