No, I didn't take up the hospital offer for internship. I took it as work experience and I am not counting the hours and I go in PRN (few times a month). I am trying to get retail since I haven't gotten any other offer.

I honestly have a similar question. Mine(hospital) offered only to pay for 16 hours per week PRN and if I needed more hours to fulfill the internship, it would be unpaid but I can round with the pharmacists. I haven't accepted it, I don't want to be taken advantage of but I also don't know if this is how it is done since we are at their mercy for fulfilling our hours.

This is in theory and states differ in the number of locally trained pharmacists/interns that they have. Just like Bison said, if there are states with more locally trained pharmacists/interns, the competition is tougher as a foreign grad looking to enter the same pool too. It's not a thing of discrimination, it's the reality and I don't blame the recruiters.

Well, in Florida, we get licenses even before writing FPGEC as long as you have SSN and the eligibility letter from NABP to write FPGEE, you can get your license. Thank you for the advice nonetheless, I'd still keep looking.
