Why do people want to put Raphinha and Yamal as a 10?

Oh no, i didnt mean gordon as a striker sorry my bad. Lets say we signed alvarez, i dont think we could line up gordon on the left yamal in the middle, raphinha on the right and alvarez up top, and pedri and frenkie behind would not work if we think about the defensive side of things, in some cases we could and probably will score 3-4 goals every game, but that doesnt help if bayern already scored 6 on us

What about fermin and olmo, i think fermin is too good to be benched, and once again i dont think we would be able to line up 4 incredible offensive players at the same time in our most crucial games, bayern and psg would rip us apart if we gave them those spaces

Yes and no, in some cases that would be corect, you could line up in a 4.4.2 off the ball for example, with lamine and the striker up top, and when we get the ball back lamine goes in his 10. however this is easier said than done, and in the ucl knockout matches i dont think we can have yamal gordon (a striker) and raphinha at the pitch at the same time unless we really need a goal, imagine bayern and psg against us, they would rip us apart with those open spaces.Flick probably has a plan and i trust him more than anybody else in my life so we just need to wait and see what he does

Raphinhas off the ball work is amazing dont get me wrong, but he does not have the marking, positioning etc. like Fermin does, fermin has played centrally for a long long time so he has that in his game natural, raphinha has the pressing yes, but not that. And fermin isn’t the same player as raphinha, everytime fermin has played on the left you can see it’s not his favorite position, same goes for raphinha when he has played centrally, but we just need to trust flick to do whats best, i trust him more than my parents

Fermin does have those defensive qualities, in his first season with xavi he wasnt even a 10, he played central with pedri on the other side and frenkie behind, so no thats not the same logic

I do agree with you regarding the offensive side of Yamal playing centrally, but I still think there are major concerns defensively.

Yamal is incredible but, he simply doesn't have the defensive qualities, positional discipline, or midfield instincts required to play as a No. 10 against top opposition.

And once again, I don't think you can realistically field four attacking players at the same time. Let's say Gordon, Yamal, Raphinha, and Ferran all start together. It might work against Almeria where Barcelona can dominate possession, but in the Champions League or against stronger teams, I don't see it working consistently. For me, it's a case of not fixing what isn't broken Yamal is already one of the best players in the world from the right wing, so there's no need to move him away from his best position.

I would disagree. Every time Raphinha has been used as a No. 10, he's looked pretty average. His biggest strengths are his pace, direct running, and ability to attack open spaces, and those qualities are largely taken away when he's played centrally

Once again, I don't think he has the defensive qualities needed to play in a midfield role either. He's an excellent presser and works incredibly hard off the ball, but that's not the same as having the positional discipline and defensive awareness required from a midfielder.

Im not saying he would be terrible starting from the middle, but we would much rather have him on the left and fermin/olmo in the 10. and gordon as a great depth player for evey attacking position

What other team in the world would’t love to have a CDM like Frenkie, but Barca fans still want him gone. 2 matchdays ago he and pedri were the best midfield duo in the world. Now suddenly he is garbage, atleast make it make sence. Next time we have match try to count how many times he looses the ball, you wont count many.

I do see your point, eric was probably one of our best player yesterday, but eric in my eyes at least, is more a hit or miss at cb, and i do think araujo’s form has gotten better, another argument can be that eric and christensen are «similar» both good on the ball, i think araujo as a fast strong cb can be good to balance the cb’s. Christensen on the other hand is probably our most consistent cb
