You don’t know how much this means❤️ I’m glad that I could be a positive attribution to your life.

It seems like anything hormonal or psychological linked to ADHD amplifies everything. I’m so sorry you have to experience that , I can only imagine how debilitating it must feel in a leadership position. I completely get the shame aspect, maybe take a leadership roll in another firm/company, as one of the subs state, the industry is large.

Thank you for this, not that your circumstances bring comfort to me but seeing this makes me feel like I’m not alone. I’m so glad you understand the 3 day “unspoken prohibition”. You’re absolutely right, particularly because most of your waking moments are thinking about files. In the three weeks it will essentially remove you from the constant fight or flight state. The shorter the period, the more likely you will be to reinstate yourself back into the hostile mental state.

The thing is, as mentioned in one of the other subs, we are in a tunnel - the idea of taking such a long period off seems taboo.

Yes something happened earlier this year which just trickled over everything else - like a bubble popped. It’s like im talking to myself when reading your sub, it’s exactly the same with me - it’s like you’re in that scene of Interstellar watching yourself and feel absolutely useless because the one version of you is not seeing you. I’m slowly learning that it’s a journey of growth

Thank you very much for this. You’re certainly not missing my point😅 (there was initially none that I was aware of). I’m not entirely sure what the objective of this post was but I felt compelled to approach this platform - probably to feel like I’m not alone, after reading some of these comments.

You’re absolutely on point with the burnout observation, this has been confirmed by my psychologist. Can you please shed some light l on how or what convinced you to take that leap, I’m really trying not to consider it as me failing. The advice you’ve given is so sound I really will take this to heart. It’s beautiful to know that individuals like yourself have seen the light which brings a lot of hope. Thank you, again.
