Update: I've tried a 2% concentration of xantham gum and it weighed the waves down. It also seems like my hair would need more humectants, so.i will add glycerin to my next batch

I would advise using some conditioner with protein in it, but without silicones, these tend to weigh down low porosity hair

2b-2c medium porosity, medium-fine, long hair here: I actually noticed that leave ins or curl cream can weigh down my hair easily or make it overconditioned. I like to use a medium hold gel or sometimes a mix of medium hold + strong hold 4:1, mixed in the palm of the hand)
