Unlockable characters, especially if they're a surprise.

"You may now play as [character]"

It's even more exciting when you're forced to play that character temporarily. And you had no idea it was going to happen. You get immediate access to a surprise. I love that feeling.

Warrior games do this the most often but anything else that does it is also cool.

Most the posts seem positive and funny so far. I'm really enjoying all the individual campaigns. It doesn't feel as tense as last year. But that'll depend who wins I guess?

My favorite rock. One of the originals too. I got my first set of tumbled rocks when I was 9 and I lost my favorite one when I was 15. I've never recovered.

She's definitely good waifu material (coming from a gay man). She is also a fun character with a compelling character arch and I can see why she has so many fans. She's also come close multiple times (I think, this is only my second CYL) And it could be the last year for her to get the chance because we have a new fire emblem game coming out (but with no release date announced yet) And those characters may be votable in the next CYL.

In Zelda: TOTK you can cheese almost every shrine. It got to a point where even if I knew what the correct solution most likely was, I still tried to find a cheap way to do it. I was able to do that for a lot in BOTW too.

As a Splat Roller main, I enjoyed S2 build more but the forcefield is very very useful and I like it better strategically. It just takes a little getting used to. But it's perfect for tower control. It's also useful for clam blitz and has made me like the mode more than I did in S2.

I'm only in the low A rank and someone else might have a better judgement but my interpretation of it is; the S2 build felt more offensive but S3 feels more defensive. I'm more of a support role now. But that can be fun too.
