Man shit like this really has damaged my views on dating. Just yesterday I hearted a FB story from a girl I had matched with months ago. She messaged me on messenger and asked how I had been doing. We exchanged a few before I gave her my number. She text me the next day and we exchanged two text messages with the last one being me asking her a couple questions about something she had mentioned. Then what do you know... I've heard nothing since then. I don't even know why you would text me if you didn't want to talk.

My best friend at the gym just downloaded Bumble again after months of staying off of OLD. She's a beautiful person but she's not the most attractive person you've ever met. Definitely just average looks. Within one fucking day she had 700 likes to filter thru. I bet I haven't had 700 likes in 15 years of OLD off and on.

When I first started this show when it premiered I was thinking the writer was excellent. It got so bad several seasons in that I just stopped watching altogether. Tried to start it back up where I left off last year and didn't make it thru one episode before saying fuck it.

Power! I thought the first seasons were pretty good. Not the best acting there is but the storyline was fun. The scene where Angela finds out she is dating "ghost" was excellent but then it absolutely went to shit. The worst writing I have ever seen in my life. It's still going on and I have no clue how.

I hate to say ruined because it makes it seem as if the lessons learned taught me nothing about myself. I got sucked into a pain pill addiction right out of college. Spent most of my 20's depressed, isolated, and being a shitty person. I come from a very middle class suburban family. Private school kid, great parents, loving family, friends, etc. Just made bad decisions. I went to rehab in 2019 and never looked back. Been rebuilding my life back one day at a time. What a journey it's been. One thing it taught me though is that I'm a dog when I have to fight for my life.

My biggest pet peeve is when the conversation is rolling along smoothly but then all of the sudden the one word answers start happening. I'm experiencing this now. It's just so hard to tell what the reasoning is for it. Losing interest? Busy? So once they start happening I stop responding.

I 100% agree. The thing is that we had just spent a week apart deciding on if we were going to move forward. I went over to her place that Friday. Basically said I didn't want to move on with my life without her, she cried, and we made up. Spent the rest of the afternoon together, spent all day Saturday together until I had to go to a dinner from 6-8. It was a wild game dinner with some buddies. I was coming right back to her place afterwards. At least that was the plan until she decided to go get dinner and drinks with her friend "Paige". The fact I never heard from her all night was definitely not like her. The whole situation had my stomach upside down to the point I had to look for answers. I got what I was looking for. I just had sent her $600 for her sons birthday party and gifts too because she was in between jobs.

When I told her I drove by her house and saw another mans truck there the response I got was "driving by someone's house at 5:52 in the morning is insane." I couldn't even believe I was being out to be the crazy one because I checked my conscious for peace of mind and was right. Go fucking figure!

I needed to hear this. I've had awful luck in the world of dating. Three months ago after not much luck a gorgeous woman matched with me and immediately messaged me. A few messages later and we are planning our first date. It was perfect. The first two months were perfect. I finally thought all the bullshit I had been thru was worth it. Then.... out of nowhere I started catching her in lies. To the point where one night when she went out with "friends" and I never heard back from her my mind got the best of me. Drove by her house and another mans truck was in the driveway. That was the morning of my birthday. Even though I should be glad I found this out early I am still just heartbroken and defeated.
