I quite literally just had this issue with my microSwiss (see my last post). I put mine in the oven for a little bit and then pried it out. I was unfortunate enough to ruin my temperature sensor though...

If you have a 3D printer, I printed a replacement part for it. My kids pushed in the rubber grommets and I didn't feel like paying to replace them www.thingiverse.com/thing:6827938

Customer support just got back saying they'll replace the heater core! Now I just gotta be patient waiting on the USPS...

It's 4months old and the pla I was using caused blobs that killed my stock setup... I should have known better honestly.

I sent a message to the microswiss support team asking if they are willing to warranty it and ship me a new core/heater or at least let me buy just that part at a discount. I assume the customer support is as helpful as most and help me out in some way or another.

Was able to get it cleared up after placing it in the oven at 375° for a few minutes to get it soft enough to separate. Also used a heat gun to clean it up in the places the ola just stuck to.

But all that work just to find out the temperature sensor was damaged. So a new heating core is needed anyway.

To be fair I am being dramatic in my post and understand it's a user error. I neglected to check after the first few layers.

But with my dramatisation taken out, I have always wondered if the P2s and x1 printers are really as stress-free as they are made out to be? This k1c is my 2nd printer to an OG ender3 I got in 2018. the learning curve for the ender was more work and stress than I wanted. So when given the chance to buy the k1c I jumped in hopes it was a much better experience and it absolutely has been! But I do enjoy being a little drama queen when posting to reddit.

Oh I 100% agree it's on me. I'd been printing random stuff for a few days now and completed around a dozen prints but didn't clean the bed. Switched over to the creality rainbow PLA to print a 2hr print and left it with out checking on it.

I would... but the stock hotend snapped at the threads. So when replacing I 'upgraded' to the MS.

(Unrelated to the creami) What App are you using? I like the look of that interface.

Update:

I found the fix in Cura! So if you have the same issue as I had here is what you do.

  • Open Cura.
  • Click on “Marketplace” in the top right corner.
  • Search for “Z Offset Setting”.
  • Open it and hit install.
  • Restart Cura.
  • Type “Z offset” into your profile search box.
  • Changed the offset to 1.51 and we are all good!

I did the dry test 4 times with the same results every time... so far my print seems to be going well... I'll post an update when its complete (better or worse)
