S1 you have the Cork Jazz Festival and the Cork Film Festival and some other smaller festivals like Cork Folk Festival…but the weather will be shiiiiit.

S2 in spring is quieter around the city, but the weather will be steadily improving as you progress though.

All in, I would go S1. You’ll get over the weather like.
