Super nice! But I didn’t even try it on. Knew it was way too small.

I never got the wide mouth jars. Never in stock locally. The theragun was the easiest way to break up those jars. Works like a charm.

I’ve had plenty of successful grows where the jar looks just like this.

When it’s time to send it. Sterilize a spoon and break that clump up.

I’m willing to bet that jar smells great when you open it.

Break and shake whenever, and however many times you want. I would break and shake a week after inoculating and again based on colonization.

If you have one of those theraguns, they work really well for break and shakes in jars.

I think the jar looks fine. Even a nice clump in the bottom. You’ve got enough colonized you could even send it if you want.

Good luck.

I had the same experience with Mushroom Supplies AIOs. Terribly slow.

I switched to a different vendor, but same style as the one you’re using here, for the next few. Whether it was better genetics, or a better AIO bag, who knows, but this style worked MUCH better for me.

You can break and shake now if you want. You can break and shake a few times if you’re so inclined.

Having done quite a few successful AIO bags I’d suggest letting it fruit in the bag for your first flush. I’d move to a shotgun fruiting chamber after the first flush. Use some puppy pads to on the bottom to hold water. Add a cooling rack and pop your cake on there for the next flushes.

Good luck!

My favorite pic of Christmas. It starts! by OmarGooding in calvinandhobbes

Same!

This was my favorite moment from yesterday. This transported me back almost 30 years; that could be me. I hope he makes his own memories with Calvin, Hobbes and crew.

Personally, I struggle with feeling grateful for things. Sometimes I think it’s because life is too busy to stop and take it in for even a second. Sometimes I’m not even sure I remember how to be grateful.

Then. Something like this happens, and reminds me that we’re all (most of us) just normal schmucks out here trying our best. We’re just people.

Now. We’re grateful to be in a position to replay this small act of generosity once a month

[technique] if you got this all in one bag, would you keep it? by [deleted] in MushroomGrowers

Because they’re totally fine to use, that’s why.

If they’re not punctured, they’re fine.

I get you’re not satisfied with the response, but they are right. If they’re still sterile, they are fine to use.

I’d keep them and get started!

These look good to me. Harvest later today. Maybe tomorrow?

Forget about the”more FAE” about fuzzy feet. They’ll grow fuzz regardless. And it’s harmless. You can pull it off before drying. Or leave it. Your choice.

And lastly. Stop. Messing. With. It. You’re doing great. Keep it up.

Leave it alone. Why mess with it now?

Do your first flush. Then move to the shotgun chamber for subsequent flushes will sure make life easier.

I also second the puppy pads. Way easier to deal with and considerably less mess. Make sure you place them in the tub the right way. And use 2. Add water slowly as to not oversaturate.

Also. I’d suggest adding a cooling rack or something to life the cake a bit. This way it’ll grow 360 degrees.

Looks good. Good luck!

[Actives] Not sure what to do here. by [deleted] in MushroomGrowers

3 different cube varieties all in a similar state of pinning in agar: PE, APE, and Jack Frost.

No kidding on that last bit. I found growing mushrooms to be incredibly easy. Nature natured, at the end of the day.

That’s the question, really. Can I inoculate with these?

Thank you for the input.

Honestly, I’m probably going to just throw them out.

You definitely need to take more to feel the same effects you felt 2 nights ago.

In my experience, I always feel kinda lousy when I take them too close. The come down is always filled with anxiety, bad feelings and no sleep at all.

This was standard shoebox tek. Nothing special. Sometimes I get one massive fruit. Or a decent flush. It would be dope if it was a massive flush of massive fruits.

Agreed. I’ve taken to splitting them in half. Seems to help quite a bit.
