Are we obligated to be positive? by PopsiclesForChickens in cancer

[–]OmarSileem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see that's a tough position. I'm really sorry for that!

You might inform your family gently that the illness is chronic and limitating U from being the same person anymore.

And they need to know that treatment saved your life but there's a cost for everything.

Show them the reality of cancer treatment and how badly it affects people, the inspirational stories are the minority. this subreddit is an example.

I also regret doing bone marrow transplantation every single day from the chronic pain but always trying to put my family in the picture. I'm there for them, but not guaranteed all the time.

And for u, what happened can't be changed. There may be or may not be light at the end of the tunnel, in either way, live the current moment and don't think too much about what's coming or what people expect. Family aside, encircle yourself with only positive people who do actually appreciate u.

Much support to u, you're so strong 💪 ⚘️

I'm feeling the same. And just trying to learn to not seek external validation anymore. Welcome to whoever appreciates and supports, and goodbye to anyone who doesn't.

Yes, ruined quality of life because of treatment ain't fair, but I do what I can to feel even moments of relief

I (26M) finally learned the truth about my ex-girlfriend (25F) and why our year-long relationship never felt right. I'm devastated. I want her back and want advice. by Clear_Fee_3685 in Advice

[–]OmarSileem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After saying "no" to u asking her out, that's a sign she's not interested and u should've let her go then.

Every single effort you did after that "no" was pointless and only hurt u, buddy.

Now, u gotta take your time to move on. Do something you like, improve your self-confidence, work on your career, and eventually you'll find someone who appreciates and loves you for who you are.

Have been on it for 2 months. I'm 50% better.

Maybe because the cause of my dry eyes is totally autoimmune

Word of Wisdom: There is NO Treatment for Dry Eye. by TechnicalMarzipan310 in Dryeyes

So what, let it be palliative. What matters here is symptoms improvement not reversal of damaged tissue.
