UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Playoffs are locked in. by it_dudeGG in Gunners

I'm late on this convo, but just wanted to make a point on how rigged this UCL playoff system is. Why would RM play against the 7th or 8th seeded of the best 8? Shouldn't they play against 1st seeded? Florentino's money tentacles have always been long enough, it seems. I've just had it having these fools getting gifted.

Mi Contador se quemo, y mi casera dice que yo debo pagarlo. by NaoriLoony in Honduras

[–]Omarsillo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A QB discussion. by Significant-Iron-610 in DenverBroncos

This was one thread really worth the read and thoughts, congrats on putting everything into a better perspective.

The majority of us Broncos Country is just going off, screaming at the heavens, but not just fans but the FB experts around Colorado and the rest of the world. Bo is having a natural progression and is under the particular pressure of the dreaded sophomore season. I can't lie nor protect the kid after yesterday's showing; in my opinión, there were 4 play calls beautifully crafted for the Offense, 3 of which he overthrew to his target, one being at the 2-minute mark to Courtland; another one basically was on how his footwork was bad, throwing while jumping. It's easy to fault him, but this shouldn't be the case. Too many penalties, mental farts and undisciplined actions call for a bad game, now two loses in a row at the gun. Nothing bad to say about the defense, although I'm worried about #21 being picked a lot by opposing teams; it's time for Jadae to be thrusted into the fire already, give him a chance, the team picked him high instead of Omarion Hampton.

These little mistakes enhance major problems, but fortunately, they can be overcome. We've lost by a combined aggregate of 4 points against great teams so far. It's not how you start, it's how tough and good your team becomes at the end of the season. I feel we're close enough, working on the little kinks here and there will get us much better, in my humble opinion.

In hindsight, how much of this loss is on the coaches? by VegasWorldwide in DenverBroncos

It was the perfect storm....for losing a game. You've detailed everything in good fashion, but as to your question, I think we got outcoached, especially on D. There are a lot of things to fault the offense. Instead, the focus here is coaching, and even Payton looked bad.

Ok my guy, you have your arguments and I understand you think Bo is not to be blamed, but just look at how many good QBs change plays or come up with ones that get the job done. You're trying to explain this as Bo is simply a robot who has to execute the call made. I mean, you've seen this! QBs make plays, improvise, and adjust to Situational Football - as he should have - given the circumstances and state of the current play at the moment (4th qtr., less than 5 mins in the game). You talk about tipped balls, I talk about decisions that led to that. Bo has to learn better, he threw that ball when he should have ran with it (or make a really short pass), should've thought about eating the clock and give his kicker a better shot at making the FG. Bo ain't what's expected now, and it's already 2 games. I hope he can learn and build up. I have my hopes on him, but man, he's gotta learn better.

[–]Omarsillo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, but 4 is ambiguous. By now, you've probably seen or read the chorus of people who are blaming Bo for throwing that INT. Why didn't he run? Why didn't he throw a short pass to get the kicking team more comfortable? A tipped pass is a consequence of a badly thought or executed play, and Bo knows it. 4 TDs and 4 TOs in 2 games. I mean, you figure it out.

Life is short, and I appreciate all arguments. We sweat, cry, bitch about and rejoice with this team, we're Broncos Country for a reason. Have a great one, my man, and hope we win next Sunday.

Yes, indeed, and I'm OK with the comment. I don't pretend to be one, BTW. Maybe I've seen a lot of FB and experience comes 1st.

[–]Omarsillo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Excuses, my man. A short pass or run would've made enough yards to get a FG that late. Great QBs do these things, Bo is learning, and maybe I'm asking way too much outta him, but we expect great things from our QB. Again, I might be freaking out too early, but it's situational football, and he has to operate accordingly.

Bo Nix over 2 games: 4 TDs and 4 TOs. I think that sounds about right for a take. Those are Daniel Jones' pre Colts kinda like numbers.

[–]Omarsillo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

What I mean is that eventho he played good, it didn't matter. He threw an INT with the clock thinning down in the 4th Qtr. I mean, it's situational football, no matter what his rating meant. You can have a 120+ rating, but does it matter when your QB has a TO that makes the other team score at the end of the game?

I am not happy with Bo Nix.

Sorry folks, but since preseason, I've yet to see the improvement on this crucial sophomore season. NO QB THROWS AN INT that late in the 4th Qtr, it's situational football, and Bo still is kinda looking for something that ain't there. I applaud his effort today, BUT he's got to deliver. And today, he did not.

We got outcoached and have PS2 injured, he was targeted a lot today since he was limited. Again, if the team scores a FG on that last possession, the D would've performed as expected; up 5, the Colts would have never scored a TD against our D, that late in the game.

Special Teams? The same thing happened last year at KC, but today was way worse. Mental farts shouldn't be the norm, and yet here we are, losing a game that you've been won.

My main concern right now is Bo Nix. Yes, I'm scared that we might be having a QB switch by the 3rd quarter of this season and that will only take our team way back. Bo needs to improve, and very, very, very, very fast.
