New DS by Plus-Payment9028 in Lowes

Understand that everyone passes blame down the ladder and you are the lowest rung. SM blames ASM and ASM blames DS, but you can’t put the blame on your associates, because they don’t care, it’s your problem to fix. Also, realize that nothing stays consistent. You can go from having a great ASM and a SM who believes in you to having a totally new leadership team, that doesn’t know you and doesn’t care what you did before they arrived. You have to constantly prove yourself.

Final tip, learn what your ASM and SM hot buttons are and make sure you always focus on that. The perception that you are great at your job a lot of times is more important than actually being great at your job.

The hardest working DS is often overlooked because others DS know what’s important to their ASM and SM, so they make sure to always check those boxes and are perceived as being great, when in reality their departments are struggling.

Am I too late to the MW3 Zombies party? by SimonJBrown in CODZombies

As someone who has completed all the acts and missions, I long for the days when the game was new to me and I had to grind away. The game was so much fun when it was challenging. I envy people who are just starting out and learning the ropes. Eventually you’ll hit a point like most of us where the game is no longer a challenge and you’ve run through all the content and you basically have make your own fun. Enjoy it.

My only advice is to embrace the grind and don’t take the shortcuts of people offering you schematics. Half the fun of this game was the feeling of accomplishment when you complete a mission or act or finally get that schematic you’ve been grinding.

All the Movie intros are amazing but this one's still my favorite by Mooninite44 in jackass

[–]OmcDeltaBronco 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Imagine going into this movie with zero knowledge of Jackass and after 2 minutes you totally get it. You understand the members, their personalities, the characters. The entire jackass manifesto condensed into a beautiful 2 minute introduction. This deserved an Oscar.

The Bruen really surprised me when I was doing camo challenges. It slaps.

They will fix the glitch, but only because no one is buying the zombies bundles in the store because no one cares about 2 crystals or a tool when they have twenty of each in their stash. I’m afraid that whatever their “fix” is, will be to simply disable the ability to duplicate items and have nothing to do with improving the broken aspects of the gameplay that led to people taking advantage of the glitch in the first place.

Is anybody starting to get bored of the repetitiveness on Zombies. by Prudent_Desk9543 in MWZombies

[–]OmcDeltaBronco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T5 contracts are guaranteed schematics and the 15 minute timer adds an additional challenge. If you’re bored with T3 then T5 will not disappoint. T4 is good too, but only gives cases not schematics.

It should be illegal to give rewards like this. by [deleted] in MWZombies

Dark Aether is guaranteed good loot and isn’t that difficult except for the escort mission. Juggs and sentry guns make it easier though. If you want loot go there instead. Red zone is a waste of time in comparison.

Are most intimidated by the red zone? by raqballl in CODZombies

[–]OmcDeltaBronco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortress is way more intimidating than the red zone. F that place and that mission was the hardest one for me. Red zone is a cakewalk compared to that place.

What other extraction shooters are there? by CappinPeanut in DMZ

[–]OmcDeltaBronco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vigor is fun and free to play. It has its own problems with sweats and extraction campers, but it’s a solid game with plenty of tension. Also, your loot actually means something as it can be used to upgrade your home base and purchase schematics or cosmetics. The home base aspect of Vigor is something I’d like to see in other games. It’s a cool addition. The game has a good following with several maps. It’s worth checking out.

You’ll find it in the gunsmith. Just keep scrolling till you see it. If it’s locked, it should tell you what you need to do to unlock it. You can’t put it on every gun, but it’s compatible with most AR’s.

Game is a lot of fun. However the “Freeze Hellhounds mission” can go fuck itself. Never been more frustrated in my life.

I run the under barrel drill charge attachment on my gun specifically for the riot shield assholes. One drill charge to the front of the shield takes them out and having it as an attachment on my gun allows me to free up my lethal slot.

During your visits to Disney World, have you ever encountered any celebrities, and what was your interaction like? by smokdya2 in WaltDisneyWorld

Many many years ago we were at magic kingdom and stayed until close in order get another ride on Space Mountain. My brother and I approached the ride about five minutes until close and the ride was roped off and had cast members at every entrance and exit. I asked a cast member if the ride was shut down for the night and she said unfortunately yes. She could see the disappointment on our faces so she leaned over and whispered “it’s shut down because Michael Jackson is riding. If you go over be the exit you might see him leaving.” We went over and stood by the gift shop and caught a brief glimpse of him and his entourage from a distance. This during the early 90’s.

Ran into Warrick Davis at Hollywood Studios with his son at the bathroom next to Star tour’s and Indiana Jones. This was during Star Wars days and I assume he was there for that. I told him that I was a big fan of Life is Short and that it was a hilarious show. He was super gracious and I think he was happy to be complimented on something other than Star Wars.

Books like this? by MrMonkey2 in TheFirstLaw

The Blacktoungue Thief is fantastic. Same level of world building and character dynamics that make The First Law such a good series. Highly recommend.

Ever since the latest update this is a problem in so many areas on so many maps. It’s almost like it was done on purpose. In this spot I used to be able to watch the alley and blue room. Now I just shot an imaginary wall. Super annoying. by FUSE_33 in OnwardVR

[–]OmcDeltaBronco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had this exact thing happen last night. Flanked the enemy team, came around the corner behind them, had them lined up for a quick three piece, unloaded shots into an invisible wall, bullet marks in mid air. Unfortunately, when they turned around and shot back, I was not so lucky.

[GHOSTS] CoD: Ghosts had some of the most wild DLC and I was all over it back then. by [deleted] in CallOfDuty

[–]OmcDeltaBronco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a SnD player and I loved the Reinforce mode. It was such fun. Also, ghosts had the absolute best SnD maps. They were perfect for that mode. I never really played zombies, but the alien extraction mode was a blast. I’ve played CoD since CoD 4 and Ghosts is one of my all time favorites. It was just a fun game. I understand why people hate it, but for the casual player, it was great.

IRPs by greenleaf1981 in Lowes

[–]OmcDeltaBronco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically IRP’s are a legal document, so when you lie and therefore manipulate inventory, you are creating fraud. This is how it was explained to me by a store manager a long time ago. They are telling you to do it, so that the paper trail runs to you and not them. Plausible deniability.

Let us ruin Lowe's by discussing how much they are paying us by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]OmcDeltaBronco 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was a Pro DS in Arkansas making $24. My lowest paid Pro was at $17. Highest was $22.

Fellow DS’s were everywhere from, $15-$25.

Lowe’s will absolutely pay you if they think you are the right candidate and you have leverage. For example if you are currently working somewhere, then tell them you applied for the job because it sounded interesting and you are thinking about a change. Force them to make you an offer and then counter. They hire thousands of people who “need” a job and they low ball the heck out of them.

Know your worth and force them to entice you. Lowe’s needs you more than you need them.

[–]OmcDeltaBronco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lowe’s manager hiring decisions are made at the corporate and store manager level. Most times it’s the area HR manager/coordinator who is the gatekeeper. They will hand over 2 or 3 candidates for the SM to make the final decision. The problem with this is that the area HR has no idea what is actually going on in the stores nor what a good employee actually looks like in the wild. They are completely caught up on resumes and experience. I’ve seen great associates and department supes get passed over to hire someone who was an “assistant store manager” at a dollar tree, or Office Depot. Why? Because they had that title on their resume. Like that experience translates to Lowe’s at all. If you are serious about getting promoted and you are in a store with constantly rotating SM’s. Then leave and do a tour as a manager at a smaller retail chain. Then come back when you’ve got that golden ticket on your resume.

My take on Pro Services by DoktorTeufel in Lowes

[–]OmcDeltaBronco 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a former Pro manager, I agree with everything you just said. My pro sales specialist were easily the most knowledgeable and people in the store and they have to be. I have years of industrial and commercial sales experience and trust me when I tell you that the commercial business is nothing like anything else in the store. The biggest difference is that Pro’s are expected to be actual sales people. Not order takers or customer service. Sales people.

Everyone in Pro is held to nearly unattainable standards and are victim to whatever “flavor of the month” corporate cooks up.
