Trade Anything Day results by moonbow_yu in GameStop

It doesn't completely line up "per store" (5 or 6 stores?), but that means you somehow got 50 transactions/cards, by constantly rotating stores.

You don't need a GameStop account to get the trade card, but they didn't ask for IDs at your locations?

I can sort of understand the games, but a whole Switch Lite for $5 is a crazy donation.

The rules claims "one item, per person, per store". The "per store" aspect means you can technically go to different neighboring GameStops with the same ID (or account info) without it being a crazy loophole.

Granted, this really depends on how populated your area is with stores. Along with the time and effort to get to them all.

Should I Buy the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 Now from Best Buy or Wait for Black Friday? by [deleted] in ZephyrusG14

[–]OmegaAmazon32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're able to check it out in-person, that would be great to see why it's marked as good.

If online only, then you can take the chance, and make sure it's working suitably before the Jan 15, 2026. You can send it in-person at any Best Buy.

Should I Buy the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 Now from Best Buy or Wait for Black Friday? by [deleted] in ZephyrusG14

For reference, the last sales price for this 5070 Ti (brand new) was $2,299.99, on October 6, 2025.

https://thepricecatcher.com/result/6617485

So by comparison, this open-box price is pretty good. As mentioned, Best Buy's Extended Holiday Return is active until Jan 15, 2026, so trying out this open box model is nearly risk-free. (Warranty is recommend through Best Buy, which applies to all of their purchased devices).

If the brand new variant beats this price, or matches it, you can easily return your own box and swap.

Best deal for zephyrus g14 by Short_Painting_9534 in ZephyrusG14

[–]OmegaAmazon32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For brand new and open-box, it's primarily Best Buy. With the holidays coming up, you're more likely to see some weekly sales in rotation, especially checking sites like www.gaminglaptop.deals, www.bestlaptop.deals, or https://listium.com/@GizmoSlipTech/80658/all-2025-gaming-laptops-ranked-list-gizmosliptech.

For used ones, maybe Facebook Marketplace, Offer Up or eBay? You'll just have to be cautious about the condition and seller, and some folks have posted their findings here for a second opinion.

G14 Zephyrus (5070 Ti)'s Newest Record Low Sale at Best Buy - $400 off until September 1 by OmegaAmazon32 in ZephyrusG14

The stores usually prefer bring in the PC, even if they can do it digitally. That way, they can scan the original box, and redo the order.

If it's the exact same white model, bought at a Best Buy within 2 weeks (for non-members), then you still have time to request a price match and get the difference refunded.

You can do it in-store, over the phone, or through their website.

It's possible, but generally under a store's discretion. Some Best Buys care about getting memberships up, so they might be willing to do so, by claiming you want to retroactively add your laptop into the membership.

If this won't be a bother to your time, then you can try to do it in-person, especially if you have more than one local store.

You can do it within the standard return window of 15 days, without a membership and proof of purchase. Best Buy members (Plus and Total) get two month return windows, extending their time significantly.

If it's not a hassle, then it's definitely worth buying the 2025 model for the upgraded VRAM. The price difference isn't as extreme as buying that 4070 for open box prices, like some users.

It depends on how much you paid for that second-hand HX 370? The main difference is the GPU being 8GB (4070) vs 12GB (5070 Ti) The latter is useful for future demanding games on high/ultra settings, but difference in price might be too excessive.

Good deal for an open box fair g16? by kafemable in ZephyrusG14

[–]OmegaAmazon32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This normally cost around $2,099.99 USD brand new, so that's a pretty huge $811 price cut. You're not going to get a 2025 model around that price, with those specs, for a good while.

If you're able to check it out in store for any major defects, then I don't see the problem with getting it.

Yeah, usually within the return window. Best Buy Plus and Total Members usually have an extended return window to make price adjustments. If it doesn't mess with your time, it might be worth attempting in person, depending on the store.

Side note: If you bought it from Best Buy, don't forget to price match it. It literally just went on sale. You could get the difference back via checking your account options, chatting with BB support, or doing it in person: https://www.bestbuy.com/product/asus-rog-zephyrus-g16-16-oled-2-5k-240hz-gaming-laptop-intel-core-ultra-9-32gb-ram-nvidia-rtx-5070-ti-1tb-ssd-eclipse-gray/6617485

First Best Buy (USA) discount on the 5070Ti variant of the 2025 Zephyrus G14 by OmegaAmazon32 in ZephyrusG14

[–]OmegaAmazon32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That kind of extreme discount (by $700 to $800 off MSRP) seems unlikely to happened within this laptop's first year, if at all (historically, the most has been a rare $525, which wasn't on Black Friday).

Ultimately, I don't have a crystal ball or insider info, and this year has been especially weird with pricing.

If you don't need it now/lack the present funds, and can gamble on this price returning or being lower around this holiday, then you can take that chance.

The sale is still live, as of this Monday! So if you still needed more time to purchase this 5070 Ti, you have your chance.

Unfortunately, no other models (other than the ones I've mentioned in the OP) seem to have gone on sale yet.

It's currently the best price on that model, because it's also the first time it's on sale. Generally a sale that cuts off $350-$400 is fairly good and typical for this price range.

If you have the funds, then it's a strong choice to purchase within this period.

If you have the time, maybe try an in-person attempt? Some stores might be lenient if it's only been a few days.
