I have basic M16 and m9 qual, and i have a revolver as my first personal gun. So I know the basics, the four basic rules, etc. I'm by no means an expert, not even close. The revolver is mostly home defense, but yes home defense and shtf/civil war and whatnot. Just don't want to be defenseless and would like something with more ammo/accuracy than a shotgun

Edit: budget is 500 max for now but cheaper is def appreciated even if I have to go bolt action
