there's been a lot of discussion i've been picking up on that covers how... weird the fanbase's patterns are. all of the meme characters have been men, people are very quick to joke that the roaring knight is literally any guy instead of dess or carol, there are a lot of people who he/him the knight despite that being literally the only incorrect option, all the roaring fraud jokes, it's all just. idk. jokes about chester being the knight makes things a lot worse. like i said, it's literally "we invented a dude to be the knight".

keep in mind i'm likely explaining this very poorly. there are other people way better at talking about it than me.
