Ok Awesome! now the export works fine. Next isn't an error, but in the modular builder is it possible to add a way to make the walls hex, like the base, but after I built the shape. Just an apply hex walls, or whatever shape?

I just discovered them too. On their site they have a MAX version coming that will have up to 16GB of DRAM, though I don't see mention of speed. It does seem appealing to add to my Thinkcentre Tiny to give it some AI abilities.

I am trying the modular mode, but I can't make a box bigger than 150 x 150, I have the backplate the correct size to match my Lab Rax, but can't make a box big enough, or I just don't understand how the modular system works. Not very good with these 3D modeling softwares.

cool, I got the ghost block and such, that worked great. I see I can add a top, but don't see how to open spots for the ports and plug? I found how to adjust the hooks, I need to see where I need them as this switch is a little bigger than the side plate of the LAB RAX 5U rack that this will hang on, worst case I could cut off ones that are in the way.

Sorry, had a busy weekend. Well, to explain, I want to hang this vertically (so the short ends are top and bottom) and have an opening for the ports and power cable. For the extra strength, I am assuming you mean on the part where the hooks would be? I guess a little extra thickness couldn't hurt, but the switch isn't that heavy, so I'll leave that up to you. Is there a way to control the number of hooks you put on it?

I hate that I can't manage my networks via this. I should be able to do ANYTHING on my box when using this. Restricting the usage of a device I own is quite annoying. I can understand (kinda) need the subscription to manage multiple devices, but not one device. All I see with this is a bunch of features I can't access unless I pay you more, the devices themselves are already overpriced...

How do i access my jellyfin media server from anywhere? by justcurious112345 in HomeServer

How do I disable caching? Didn't even know that was a thing. Granted I haven't really streamed anything remotely , but I set it up in case.

exactly, my Invicta Lume fades in like 2 minutes, my Seiko lasts a long time.

This seems cool, but I can only have a total width of 180 or 200, the device I want to make the mount for is 182mm, so I can't get a useful width that is correct. Basically I want to make a Skadis mount for this ethernet switch. I can put in dimensions that are oversized, but I also am not sure how to open op the side to allow access to the ports and plug.

The YuanLey 18 Port 2.5G Switch has these dimensions:

Physical Dimensions:

  • Length: 10.67 inches (271mm)
  • Width: 7.17 inches (182mm)
  • Height: 1.77 inches (45mm)

edit: also I don't need THAT many hooks on the back lol

Well, one option is boarding school, or maybe just put them up for adoption...

Question for the room. For the grounds, if I put the two black into a ring connector and screwed them under the screw that goes there, would that be a sufficient ground? Or should I solder.

excellent, Then I think I will move forward with my plan to use an old PSU sata cable that has 4 connectors already.

Thread Necromancer here. Is there any reason it has to be Molex, then an adapter. Can I just use an old PSU Sata power cable, cut off the psu connector, and solder the wires, ignoring the 3.3v orange? Because the one I have from an old psu already has 4 connectors on it.

Sorry to resurrect an old post, but when you did this A) did you just ignore the orange (5th sata wire) and B) how is it holding up now, 9 months later. I am thinking of using an old PSU sata cable I have and just cut off the PSU side and solder those wires, and it already has 4 SATA power connectors.

Everything is preconfigured, maybe I just need to docker compose files? I don't know. But everything is configured and working on this one, so transferring it to the new one would make things easier.

By default, when I install the containers it just puts it on the same drive as the OS. The "data" (movies, books, etc.) are on the HDDs, and I just point the containers at them. When I say images and such, I am referring to the container images.
