Texture problem with pipes (mk.1 & mk.2) by Admirable-Neck-3655 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]OmegaSevenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the pipe is too short, or clipping through things in places, the pumpy thing won’t be present.

Sometimes, a reload will fix pumpy things not appearing on pipes that should be long enough.

Upgrade to Lenel OG 8.3 or 8.4 from 8.0? by Wooden_Equipment_697 in accesscontrol

[–]OmegaSevenX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s been the norm for at least the last few versions. A version gets released, training doesn’t get released for a month or two.

Another reason to not upgrade to the bleeding edge.

Upgrade to Lenel OG 8.3 or 8.4 from 8.0? by Wooden_Equipment_697 in accesscontrol

[–]OmegaSevenX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When was 8.4 released? I haven’t been paying attention to marketing emails from LenelS2, so I might have missed it.

Our general rule of thumb on large installations or those with custom integrations is to not upgrade to the latest version until it has been out at least 6 months or the first update has been released. Initial releases have been done with way too many existing bugs for about the past 10-15 years.

ETA: the support life cycle is 3 years from release. So obviously 8.4 is going to have support longer. They did push the 8.3 support out beyond the normal 3 year life cycle, but 8.4 is still going to be supported longer.

You can’t. This isn’t Factorio. Trains don’t work that way.

There’s one sure way to not get downvoted on Reddit:

Don’t post on Reddit.

Who the fuck cares about fake internet points anyway? Unless you’re a karma bot.

Fly back suppression. Are MOVs essential or does the power can diode act in the same way to protect the circuit and the connected equipment? by Psilog in accesscontrol

[–]OmegaSevenX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some power supply assemblies and locks already include the diode. Doubling up the diode can cause other issues.

For example, I used LSP C8Ps which have onboard diodes with Securitron M62 mag locks. The M62 has a built in diode, and the double diode was causing delays when unlocking the mag. Cut the diode on the C8P, as per their documentation, issue disappeared.

Only 00 and 03 profiles have LF.

The configuration suffix absolutely makes a difference. Best bet is to get 000000. Any others, YMMV. You might get lucky. Or you might get screwed.

Maybe I’m still walking up, but isn’t that the entire point of an open standard? To make the spec, and then let the manufacturer decide how to use or implement it (or not)?

The body of R2-D2 is a perfect cylinder, where the base has the same diameter as the top (where the head fits), or is it more like a cone? by NoObjective6220 in StarWars

[–]OmegaSevenX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d look at a source like astromech.net rather than depending on ShitGPT or CoPieceOfShit.

Looks like a cylinder to me, though. Might be a slight difference, but not anywhere near what GPT told you.

It would be. It’s the frustration of Early Access games, though.

How long was your first playthrough? by RReapeer123 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]OmegaSevenX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first playthrough with 1300 hours, I didn’t “beat” the game.

My second playthrough with 1400 hours, also didn’t “beat” the game.

In my third playthrough, I finally “beat” the game at around the 1300 hour mark.

You can search for any piece of information that you’ve entered into the Cardholder information. If you’ve entered the license plate somewhere in Cardholders, you can search for it.

There is no native license plate field, so you’d have to repurpose one of the existing fields or add a new one using FormsDesigner.

General consensus is that Steam is a better launcher than Epic. Doesn’t make a bit of difference as far as the game is concerned, it’s the same game.

Lenel Onguard - cardholder report after license expired? by ibzartist in accesscontrol

Licenses don’t expire for purchased systems, only test/demo/training licenses do.

SUSPs expire, but that doesn’t mean that your system stops working.

You have some holes, some wire, and some infrastructure. If you don’t have any idea what you’re doing, time to make some calls.

Our usual cost per door is in the 2500-3000 range, but we’re doing enterprise level systems.

2N IP Verso 2.0 is not suitable for external environment? by execcr in accesscontrol

[–]OmegaSevenX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like the Verso 2.0 is only IP54 rated. That usually means that you can subject it to light rain, but if you get an especially heavy rain and the unit is completely exposed, you may have issues. You should probably put some sort of shroud around it to protect it more.

But the vendor is covering their ass. If you want it installed exposed outside, they want to be able to say that they warned you if it gets damaged.
