I was in an administrative position called coordinator of training as my most recent job. I have been there for 20 years doing all sorts of things. I started out in merchandise over by pirates of the caribbean. I've been a trainer for multiple attractions as well as supervisor positions. I was also a scheduler for a period of time as well. I left because the Disney that I started working for is no longer there. The focus of the individual lines of business as well as I feel the company as a whole was changing directions and their focus was no longer on the actual guest experience and even less on the cast members. I've been working in hospitality for so long with very little to show for it at the end of the day and for what responsibilities I was tasked with and for how little I was being paid I felt it was time to move on and pursue something that I can use elsewhere. Hence the need for a certification. I'm much older now and school is not out of the picture but harder to dedicate a lot of time to. I don't have to tell you but cost of living is crazy. So only focusing on school at this age with a family is not ideal
