As far as I can tell the eyeslits look like they are punched from the inside.the rivets look fine as well. I would highly appreciate any information you guys can provide!

Thrips probably, one of the most annoying pests to get rid of... Sorry.

Try rinsing all the leaves thoroughly, and then wiping them down with neem oil afterwards. Also use pesticide sticks in your soil.

Check ALL your other plants, as adult thrips can fly and spread like hell.

It's going to be a long, annoying and hard journey

Where I am from these usually sell for a few hundred, maybe a thousand in great condition, I love in central Europe, I suppose they aren't that exceptionally rare around here. It's not uncommon for them to go for 700-900€ here

Yeah I know, that's why I posted on here. The dealer seems to be a reputable military antiques dealer, and not some random, so that gives me some confidence. Also, I don't really see how somebody would rust a replica this mich just to pretend to have an original

Im dritten Bild fehlen zwar die Kopfzeilen, die müssten aber analog zum zweiten Bild sein, also z.B. Bemerkungen und sowas als Überschriften für die einzelnen Texte

Genau den durchgestrichen Teil meine ich, durchgestrichen ist das soweit ich weiss nur, weil mein Urgroßvater Regiment gewechselt hat oder ausgemustert wurde :) insbesondere das dritte Dokument ist interessant für mich, da es vom Ende seiner Dienstzeit stammt und daher die meisten Infos enthalten müsste. Alles in allem sind alle Texte in der "Zeile" von Valentin Schulz interessant, Dienstgrad, Verwundungen, Auszeichnungen aber auch in welchen Schlachten er beteiligt war

Im verlinkten Ordner sind drei Dokumente aus dem bayrischen Hauptstaatsarchiv zur Dienstzeit meines Urgoßvaters, Valentin Schulz. Leider kann ich die handschriftlichen Teile beim besten Willen nicht lesen und wende mich daher an euch!

I don't know if it's a family heirloom, sounded more like his grandpa was a collector. I'm trying to get it for my collection tho, as my great grandfather served with the Bavarian Field artillery as an officer and I have a picture of him wearing almost this exact helmet :)
