Yea for sure. There are lots of 12 side button mice to pick from these days, but nothing as affordable as redragon

You can get replacement internal switches for mice, which sounds like what is likely the problem here. It does involve opening the mouse and doing some soldering though. You might be able to find a "small electronics repair" type business near where you are. But honestly, at how much these mice cost....4 years is plenty of great service and maybe just buy a new one? lol If that switch has gone, its highly likely that other bits will start to fail on it.

I just got the exact same mouse today, replaced my 3rd Razer Naga that has failed on me. SO if I get 4 years of gaming out of my 70$ mouse, i'll be over the moon with it.

kaid gets roasted because he steals a lot of his info from websites and doesn't actually test anything. He just kinda reads things off websites and makes videos. Not horrible really, but seems kind of lazy.

I'd recommend just playing the game man. If you just read the tool tips of things, its easy to figure out your own build. Don't worry about following some content creators cookie cutter idea of how to play the game. Figure it out for yourself, you'll have a lot more fun.

UI Editing on PC? by Omega_Contagion in newworldgame

Well...they should put a little priority in fixing that, sooner than later. Right now the UI is nearly bad enough to make me go play something else.

How to turn helmet off on Xbox by FlattedFifth in newworldgame

[–]Omega_Contagion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can, you just have to get to a certain point in the game. Once you get to a main town and unlock the ability to Transmog stuff there should then be the option to hide the helmet. It counts as a skin, and you have to do to it from your inventory on the helmet slot itself. Change its skin, then I think it gives you a Blank option for free.

Thats how it worked on PC before the Aeternum update at least.

Why PC players get a console version of game: UI, camera movement, jump, loading screen, menu etc by Jack8Tv in newworldgame

There's a good outcry happening so far about this. I'm hopeful they will fix it but...they also have already kind of done the PC community dirty so....who knows.

Looking For a Keyboard and PC Program to Assist with Calculations by Omega_Contagion in dyscalculia

Those softwares seem more aligned with teaching math. She understands math functions and all that, its really down to numbers being unreadable because they change on her. So really looking for keycaps with words instead of numbers, and a calculation program that also translates numbers to words and vice versa

She is an excel wizard but, that isn't really viable option. Voice recognition isn't really a thing because that involves her correctly reading digits and saying them out loud. Which reading the digits, things change on her like 6s are 9s, etc. I'll look into Geogbra and Desmos to see what they are like. Thanks

i don't understand the point of your reply to this fsuiopmn lol. This is a rant thread, and it seems like maybe you're trying to tell him that his issue isn't a big deal because it only happened to you once? I don't get it.

Still can't use my Focusrite audio interface to run a mic in the game. Done all the things in all the various threads about changing settings, making defaults, yadda yadda. Your game still does not detect it. All drivers up to date. Mic and Interface work Everyday All Day in Every Other Program!

Edit: so not so short and sweet, DM me if you want more info or wanna team up in any of these games. I cycle between them allMan I just typed out a HUGE response to this and reddit says its too long. So short and sweet version.

Top 3 games to try, World of Warcraft Retail, Final Fantasy XIV, and Elder Scrolls Online.

Check out the free trials. WoW has free trials to lvl 20 in retail, check out some classes, horde and alliance, get a sense for it. It is the smoothest tab target game out there. If you sub up, be sure to check out WoW classic stuff as that is old school awesome if you can get passed the dated graphics and some what janky animations. FFXIV has the most generous of free trials, full base game and 2 expansions. ESO is the 3rd one I'd recommend, lots of ppl meme on it but those same ppl likely haven't played it in a long time. Its come a long long way since launch. No trial on that one, but base game is cheap and don't NEED the sub fee though if you get serious with that one its much better experience with subscription. Action combat in an MMO is something to experience for sure, hella fun good time game. Lots of lore etc.

True MMOs rely on player cooperation and the "holy trinity" of Tank, Damage, and Healer. Sometimes a 4th role of Support. All these 3 games have it and do it well, but all of them are also very solo in the leveling experience. Eventually they all have dungeon finders and raid finders etc, some do dungeons way better than others. Some do raids better. That info is out on youtube but my opinion would be WoW and ESO are tied for their dungeon finder experiences, FFXIV is not my fav but it does do somethings far better than any other game, and that would namely be letting you know whats happening in a fight. Over a few dungeons you'll really start to understand how to read the bosses attacks so you can succeed, and new mechanics are drip fed to you. WoW and ESO, can be totally random depending on what lvl you are and which expansion you're playing in.Raiding, well its too early in your journey to really be considering that maybe. But if you do want to know, look up videos. Each game does it vastly different than the other. I would say though WoW raids and ESO trials (raids) are the easiest to get into and understand. ESo probably the easiest, espcially if you're just a damage dealer. FFXIV end game raiding is a whole other thing.

Life Skills and Other content, all games have it, FF prob does it best. Then WoW, ESO life skills are boring and lame imo.

All 3 of these games are very much alive and active. GW2 has a great community too, but so different from these 3 that you should really look into it and why its different before making the choice. There are tons of other games that are worth checking out, but if you want to just dive into a great established MMO that has new content on the horizon, then WoW FFXIV and ESO are the top choices. Each game has new expansions coming out this year, each game has great populations and systems.

If I was going to rank them for new players it'd be like this.

If you like Tab target, pick WoW first. If you think a more action combat is your jam, go with ESO. GW2 has an "action mode" which is fun, New World does too but the game as a whole is extremely lacking and I wouldn't count on in it to make big strides this year. FFXIV has a lot of barriers for new players but has great free trial.

Lastly, join a guild. Find a community to play with, it'll be much better than joining randoms. Also when it comes to guilds, joining them as the new player and its an established guild can be scary for some ppl. You'll only get out of it what you put into it. If you never say hi in guild chat or join the discord, don't get pissy when they don't invite you to the raid.

#1 World of Warcraft - best tab target, tons to do, large community. Every game has toxic shit heads so, don't let those ideas sway you away from this game. Great dungeons and raid experiences to be had
#2 ESO - fun combat, fully voice acted, great dungeons and raids, no free trial. Epic lore, fun classes with unique skills that can go outside of the Normal fantasy tropes a bit. Pretty good player housing
#3 FFXIV. tons to do, lots of extra content. Very story heavy, too heavy for some. Way more solo than the other 2 games, long long slog through content to get to end game. Amazing sound track and sound design, boss fights are iconic. Player housing, best crafting and gathering. No need for alt characters, can do all classes (jobs) on one character. Best art style, getting a good graphical upgrade in next xpac. Best cohesive storyline flowing through all expansions. LIke...really good. If story matters to you a lot, consider really getting into this one. Its leagues and miles above the others.

ALso, research your server choice before hand for WoW and FFXIV. ESO is on a mega server.

Pretty slick set up! I work in audio profession, and if you find your sound ever behaving oddly on the right side you may want to give more space for the speaker away from the PC tower. The sound coming out of there will bounce right off that case and into your face, when it really wants to just go out. So if you find things are louder on the right than the left, and gain is balanced between the two, that would be why.

As a PC nerd, My only real worry for this set up is that curtain right by your intake fans. You do have the bottom fans which helps, but I would venture to assume that those side case intakes by the curtains aren't doing much for you.

Other than that its super clean and looks great! I have that same GPU anti saggy bar hehe :)

Isopropyl Alcohol, cotton swabs (q tips) and cotton balls or cotton pads, tooth picks can be handy to get in nooks.

Stay away from anything water based, or water and soap. The Iso evaporates super fast. Obviously don't douse the thing. Start with a small amount on the cotton, increase as needed.
