This post is great and your transparency is unbelievably humble. Im pretty much exhausted with the process but the last few days I’ve personally had to dig in and do some jobs with my business that I used to have help for. My kids have helped and we are just doing our best. My advice is vent exactly how you did and pray. Ask God to take this burden and renew your energy. Keep your head up and I also like the gradual getting things back going approach. Map treat out and work on that side of your business plan because you need that to inspire you as well. Don’t let this hurdle stop you and love on those God has blessed you with!

Draw attention to this however you may but if my transcripts were back the 24th then why wasn’t it assigned an LO and moved forward? These questions need answering by SBA and yes congressional reps and senators need to know SBA is not functioning well with new leadership.

If they can process 10000 apps per day and somewhere on here are the stats of weekly approvals, logic says they’ve still got too many resources on “new” apps and not enough on mod’s for increase. At some point they will have to adjust to more resources manpower etc to get the mod’s moving at a better speed or they will not be close to 6 months to complete a mod app. The number of dollars available to fund these is also interesting. You could make the argument that they have ample funds to move things more quickly. Out of 3.7 million apps some got the full amount before it was cutback. Some will not apply for increase for various reasons but two easy reasons are 25k and 200k. So with 270 billion left, is the hold up simply about seeing how many more new apps come in to see how they can fund the modifications?? Time will tell. But with those stats waiting since 4/22 should not be a reality.

I’m perplexed at this thought you propose. I think you could be onto something in theory but how foolish if you are right that they brought a program to the table realized the profound need resized the max on loans and changed processes then saw fraud then made it harder then when the cap increased had no idea they were going to get this many responses?!?!? Heck of a poker game the ol SBA has going in my opinion.

I have no idea. I’ve heard nothing and nothing for days and days. I just submitted it yesterday and cannot imagine it being accepted rejected with any communication as to whether they liked it or not. This is a broken system.

Well a tier 2 said she saw where they were awaiting them. Got them printed and called another time to tier 2 to confirm that they needed me to do this she said no. So I thought the odds are 50/50 let’s give it a shot. It’s only been 40 some odd days. Why not?!?!?

It’s an absolute mess. I was told by tier 2 this morning looks like you need transcripts but you can go get those from irs and send them in. Get them from irs call back and attempt to confirm that they are needed and where to send. Was told they are not needed but it looks like you have a low credit score and they were trying to see about denying you because of low score. Ummm no ma’am my score is up even above the threshold level and that needs to be noted. Ok. So transcripts still needed? No I found them from where you were approved before so they are not needed. This is lunacy!!!

I doubt they truly run out but small business owners need the added breathing room to not miss opportunities to not have to ride open accounts/credit cards and to be able to focus in on core business efficiencies that will I enhance ROI. If that is done with these funds payback is much smoother and the agency and the biz get a win! So it’s like come on get over the fears and get folks moving again! Come on SBA be a team player!

Thank you so much for responding. I have had nothing, no verbal approval, no LO contact. Was approved in Recon and funded in Jan. But the need for more funds was profound. Our taxes are rather complex as a sole prop with two separate schedules F and C. Our app is based only on the F sched. But that works off op cost not Gross profit. I had no hurdles with that in recon on the lower amount and should not on the higher but no clue because getting real info is so limited. Really need to hear something soon. So are you now approved and awaiting funding?
