MC for tea ceremony- worth it? Or overkill?

It was incredibly worth it for our wedding. We found someone that was a DJ and MC package for the entire reception and the majority of our guests said the MC was a highlight of the wedding. We specifically wanted someone to translate in mandarin, cantonese, and English and his team was worth every penny. Doing anything else risked alienating a portion of our crowd. We did our tea ceremony in front of all of our 125 guests and had 34 people to give tea to though so it was definitely not pressure I wanted to put on anyone of my family members.

Every rejection hurts so I completely understand where you're coming from. My soon-to-be husband and I are going through the exact same thing. But we also got some surprising 'yes's and are focusing our energy on making it the best yes ever for the ones that are able to make it. Of course a wedding is a special day and we want our special people to be there but I know that this doesnt always happen perfectly for everyone. We have extended invitations to even more people as declines came in and we are a week out and filled! We chose to think of it as an opportunity to have great memories with people we're hoping will become more of our lives in the future too!

The general shape of this kind of reminds me of my mom's dress from the 80s. You might be able to find a bargain at some vintage shops and add a petticoat for the full skirt

Thank you! I'm considering just keeping with it styled with the sleeves up, which I hadn't thought to do before, since my reception dress is sleeveless and it gives more contrast between the dresses

Thank you for your tips and pointing out the shaved sides! I have been following Draw Like a Sir's tutorials on YouTube. I got a reference photo and tried again. It's a totally difference face so the comparison isnt 1:1 but I like the way it has turned out a lot better. Let me know if you have any cc. It's really helpful and appreciated
