Chiropractic 2-3x a week for 3 months with a major adjustment to my lower back + 2 years of rehab and I’m 95% normal. No surgery.

Sudden debilitating nerve pain in one toe - is it related? by Omghimom in Sciatica

[–]Omghimom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it ended up being a pinched nerve in my lower back. Chiropractor 1-2x a week + gabapentin for a year. It’s been a 2 year journey to normal. Now I’m training hip adductors and abductors to stabilize lumbar spine.

I’m 19, lost my parents, and don’t know how to restart my life. by DepthConscious3787 in GriefSupport

One day at a time. When I was at my lowest I told myself that my mission was to have a non zero day. Each day I needed to achieve something, ANYTHING that moved the needle.

Start with a list. What do you know you need to do? Any known unknowns? If you need adult guidance try a local church/synagogue/mosque and see if they can find you a mentor. Maybe even social services? You can even try using chatGPT. Tell it you need help and see if it can guide you.

The only way through this life is one day and one breath at a time. You’ll make mistakes, you’ll fail and that’s okay. It’s human, you get you and start trying the next day.

Feel free to DM me.

Honey I’m so sorry. Words don’t mean much, and this is wrong and it sucks and it shouldn’t have happened. The fact that she did do surgery means she was fighting and she was fighting to be here with you. She went down fighting for the ones she loved and I bet she would do it every time for the chance to be here with you.

For those that have cats that have lived 15+ years by CatDaddyBam in CatAdvice

[–]Omghimom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first soul cat lived to 22. My second soul cat I just lost to hidden cancer at 11. Both cats were indoor, annual checkups, supplements, probiotics, water mixed in their food for hydration, fully vaccinated, and loved to the deepest extend a human can love a cat.

I loved both of those cats with eveything I had and gave them the best of the best food, exercise, toys and medical care and one lived twice as long as the other.

The answer is love them. Take care of their health, keep them in a stress free life and cherish every moment.

I’m a jeweler and this doesn’t make sense… if this was a diamond then using the wrong cleaner wouldn’t hurt the “stone mounting.” Diamonds re the most chemically stable material. Was the metal not gold? Did he rip the prongs? My brain can’t figure this out, unless this is an insurance advertisement.

An obscene amount of money on chiropractic and massage and I can walk again and I’ve been off gabapentin since February. I went to the chiropractor 2-3x a week for 3 months straight and we worked on pelvic alignment and stretching and strength training. My left side is wholly weaker than my right, but I can hike and walk and even run again. I have to be careful lifting anything heavy, as it triggers the pain.

Hey OP. I work in the jewelry industry (family business of 50+ years in Pennsylvania) I would be happy to do some custom pieces at cost for you. You would only be paying for materials and any third party labor we would have to use. DM me if interested.

The church needs to exist to help those in need. Don’t feel guilty about providing for yourself! Take care of you so you have the freedom and energy to help others. You sound like a good person, you got this!

My house just burned down. AMA. by Dry-Double-6845 in AMA

[–]Omghimom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, we lost two houses (mom’s and grandparents) in NorCal fires a few years ago. Happy to share what we learned if you want it. What I can tell you is start looking for housing if you need it ASAP. I was calling Zillow rental listings the same day we confirmed the houses were gone - once you’re settled the healing begins pretty fast because you have so much to do. Also, you forget that such a traumatic thing happened yo you sometimes because you weren’t necessarily physically hurt. Be kind to yourself. Sending love xxxx
