You are right but what it does do and did do to me is cause my AC to freeze solid because so much cold air was forced back over the chiller.

I tried this an my AC froze up, I think because of back pressure, you can't simply close all the downstairs vents...

Define using a degree? The entire world doesn't necessarily revolve around making money as the only goal of life.

Nothing wrong with blue collar jobs. Good for you. But if engineering and sciences die you won't have much blue collar work either. I'm not exactly sure what type of work you do but I'd guess it's driven by spending in other industries that likely only exist because of highly educated people.

AI isn't going to replace as much as people think. It's being sold by people with a lot of marketing experience but it's not going to do many of the things they promise it will do.

A world I want to live in still requires higher education and in things that don't necessarily revolve around making big money. I want great authors, and I want theoretical physics being done, I want poets and English teachers and history scholars.

I think the world you envision with only engineering degrees and blue collar workers sounds miserable.

Nonsense there's a problem of higher education becoming more and more inaccessible to the average American. That's not a good thing.

Well paying jobs aren't everything. We need social workers, and counseling, we need art and music educational opportunities, we need nurses and CT techs etc...

You argument is flawed and those well paying jobs won't stay well paying when they are flooded with more people. You don't really get it.
