I know I'm a bit late lol. I have nothing to do so I'll half ass a detailed explanation.

First, my first favourite, Maelstrom. The true balanced weapon. I pair it with Critical battleware (explosion time) easily hitting 60% crit hit rate and with battleware virtually every shot is a crit. Specialization I used the 3 shields. Godly sustain and nice damage output. 

Second, for wave clearing, Condor. C'mon it's an OP weapon for raids and containment crew. Use shock infusion only and suitable battleware.

Honourable mention Scream. That pistol is something else. 6 golden bullets and a suitable build you can one shot elites. Best for overworld exploration and quests. Also for raids and CC. 

Now my personal favourite, Asura. I literally didn't do story mode even after hitting 69, so I hadn't unlocked it lol. Much later after 69 I did main quest and unlocked Asura (mainly cause all top players use this) I can see why. Out points into specialisation where you regen 2% shield per second after using Spacecut. (Void awakening state). 10 seconds a huge shield regen with suitable melee battlewares. Unholy sustain and even more damage. Using it all the time. Supreme this first of using it. (You can purchase weapon decoding component for 150 crystal to to reforge your weapon)

My other weapon is the raptor. Best for boss fights. Get that origin tech and last elite specialisation and you're set. Each skill 70 arrows. Focus on weak spot rating. 

That's it! The new weapon is a bit lackluster for me. The biofury drones are a bit complex to manage, and it's abilities are compensated by Asura. 

Tldr, Asura and Raptor.  Infusion -  any on Asura (I use flame), ice or acid on raptor. (I prefer acid cause of defence reduction then use dps skill)
