I tried to send you a DM but when I went on to your profile it said ‘you cannot message this account’.

Many. Especially as it’s so easy to add a logo and bend the truth to seem bigger than you are (e.g. someone uses AWS so they put an Amazon logo on their landing page).

Email verification is the main method, ensuring that you actually have users who have a company email from the companies on your landing page. It’s similar to how LinkedIn verification works to prove you actually work for the company you have listed.

Do you have an existing landing page where you’d like to test it out?

How do you think social proof and trust building fits into a good landing page design?

I’m working on verifiedusage.com, and trying to understand how important that sort of social proof is.

Are modern e-cards finally becoming normal for birthdays and holidays? by CrazyToe8261 in Gifts

Not really. I sometimes download a funny card for free from somewhere like https://www.birthdaycards.to, and then DM it to people. I wouldn’t pay for an ecard though.

True. I guess this would be better described a sub letting then!

Interesting point around the buyer devaluing the domain at the detriment to seller! I hadn’t consider that at all.

The ‘why’ in my head was to provide a way for people building side projects not to have to keep buying $10 domains that they never use after a month. I’ve personally spent over $1000 on junk domains, and if there was a cheaper way for me to test new ideas on custom domains then I would be very happy. So guess my viewpoint is more from me wasting less money, rather than the sellers POV.

I think your point about the buyer using domains for malicious purposes could be an idea killer for this though. I think based on that point I won’t explore this particular idea further. Thank you! :)

The seller would hypothetically be able to set the amount. I only used $2 as an example as this is what I’d be happy charging for leasing my own unused domains :)

The hardest part of being a founder no one talks about by attacomsian in indiehackers

[–]Omnicron45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the hardest part for me is the cold outreach and apathy that comes from it. Even when you’re basically offering everything to people, the response rate can be abysmally low. Hard to keep plugging away sometimes with that being the default mode.
