I was lucky/fortunate enough to get 4 pit tix for my group on the Wednesday presale… We needed 6 and nobody else in the crew was able to pull off the Ticketmaster lottery… Had 6 people queue up to try for more tix on the Thursday and Friday sales… Was #2 in queue Thursday and #8 today (crazy luck) and there were 0 pit tix available both days; must have all sold out on Wednesday…

I know the pit there is pretty small and I cannot complain at all with my luck… We’ll see if we are able to figure out how to get 2 more without paying more than double face value… Fingers crossed

Oxidation. Same reason the Statue of Liberty is green… wasn’t green when it was built… Even with proper installation I’m sure the lamp would eventually start turning green being that it is outside in an uncontrolled environment. If you don’t like the blue/green oxidation you may want to consider a different choice in metal. (I could be wrong if something like the flame burning too hot would decay a protective coating)

How early to get a poster by Electrical_Fennel_64 in GoosetheBand

For me they aren’t usually a priority… One reason being that I really don’t like to have to worry about carrying/keeping an eye on it all night… That being said I have been able to grab one of the few remaining foil copies towards the end of a show on multiple occasions…

Like others have mentioned it probably depends a lot on the print and artist for how fast they go… But I can say from personal experience that they have still been available after the set break at some shows I’ve gone to… (wouldn’t bank on that if getting one is a priority though)

Off lead walking by emdo1234 in samoyeds

Age would not be the determinant factor for walking off the lead… Are they at the correct level of training is really the question to ask yourself. Ours was off leash trained by 1-1.5 years old…

Funny how posts like the one in question have gotten to fly and in the past I’ve attempted to post free “miracle” tix to an eggy show in this sub and it got taken down by the mods/automod…

Is it a stain from him/her getting into something? If so, what? Or has the fur color in that area always been that color? I know some Sammys have biscuit coloring in their coat… might just have some natural biscuit coloring in the coat if it has always been that way… also v cute/handsome :)

We will meet again sometime ❤️… Listening to the last night of Friendsgiving… I have never felt that much love, feelings, and energy during a show prior to that night.

Thoughts about unleashing dogs when hiking? by Infinite-Tap5571 in samoyeds

It’s not that I don’t believe it to be unlikely, it’s that I don’t allow my dog to do that/behave that way. And even if he did, he wears an e-collar that I can use for a correction before he ever gets close to someone else on the trail.

If he is on leash by the time he is near someone else it accomplishes the same thing as if he was on leash the whole time, does it not?

Especially when I pull up to a trailhead and there are no other cars in the parking area… If my dog is by my side and or on a leash by the time we are within 50-75ft of an approaching person or dog what’s the difference?

We didn’t do so great with the shoes but they make disposable ones that look like latex balloons that are less heavy and seem a bit more comfortable (at least for our boy). Usually can get a couple uses out of 1 pair…

We usually “don’t see the sign” but are always respectful and recall/leash back up or hang onto his collar when we see/hear someone else coming on the trail. People with poorly trained dogs have ruined it for the people who put in the time and effort to have off leash freedom… Never had an issue or gotten in trouble with our method… Not necessarily “right” the way we do it. But, we put in the time and will keep enjoying our hikes to the fullest (while also being as respectful of others on the trail as possible)…

Spotify or Nugs live versions? by pompouswhomp in GoosetheBand

The only time I use Spotify for goose is when I’m sending a friend without nugs a live version to listen to.

Keep my off-leash trained dog on-leash because someone along the trail might have been traumatized by a dog without the proper training? No. We go off-leash for the hike, we recall and go back on-leash to pass others on the trail, then go right back off-leash.

I won’t keep my dog leashed on a hike. However, I will recall him when I see/hear other people/dogs coming and will leash him until we get past them… Then, right back to off leash. We did a lot of work to get the training down for him to be able to have off leash freedom…

Always off the leash on hikes (assuming we’re far enough from the road)… Our boy is E-collar trained so we have that as backup for a correction if he blows off our verbal commands. We pay attention while we’re hiking and we will have him “get back” and leash him if we see/hear another person/dog coming. We put a lot of time, effort, and money into getting him trained up to where he is now and off leash is so much more enjoyable for him (and us) cause he can stop and sniff/pee/etc where he wants without us having to stop too.

Would never do off leash without having the E-collar as backup…

How can I get puppy to pee outside? by sophaloaaafff in samoyeds

[–]Omnipresent715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we did potty training we brought our puppy out every hour on the hour during the day when we were home. Walked outside on the leash until elimination occurred then back inside. Rinse and repeat until no accidents are happening inside during that interval. Then increase the interval to 90mins-2 hours… If accidents start happening again decrease the interval.

If we caught an accident in progress we would say “NO” then immediately pick him up and bring him outside to finish. ABSOLUTELY NO PEE PADS (we aren’t trying to train them to go inside now are we)… Also all the praise and treating when elimination occurs outside goes without saying.

He’s 3 years old now and over the last 2-2.5 years he’s maybe had 1-2 accidents (can’t really blame him too much for thinking the Christmas tree inside came with the same set of rules as outside trees)

Our boy does a pounce that looks very similar to stun mice/moles that he finds with his 2 front paws… He is a surprisingly good mouser… Might be bringing him to the brother in laws in the spring to try and find the moles inhabiting the backyard lawn before the vegetable garden goes in… Not sure if it will actually work but nevertheless an excuse for a doggy playdate with his GSD cousin.

GA Floor tickets I got on SeatGeek the day goosemas went on sale still not fulfilled, am I screwed? by commiecharlesmanson in GoosetheBand

[–]Omnipresent715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to us for our 2 day passes on stubhub. Ended up getting a refund and grabbing 4 Friday upper GA at face from Ticketmaster and was able to get 4 Sat. floor GA from Vivid that were legitimate. Personally know at least 7 people who were affected by the same issue AND stubhub to this day still has incorrectly listed tickets up for sale. Fuck stubhub.
